Beard & Suit are the source of all his powers!

3 points are imperative!!! Need to keep up with the mancs!!! Also, it is always good to keep a winning streak alive as long as possible ! Indeed, it tends to get you the title !

Here's my formation : classic 3-5-2.

    Dave                 Christensen              Sideshow Bob

Zappa            Kanté                     Baka               Marcos "Georges Michael" Alonso

That's as maybe @Nibs I wasn't that convinced at the time, and am still of the opinion that he showed nothing special whilst with us.  Like a lot of players, he improved but, also like a lot of players, didn't do enough while with us to justify a place.  Look at Matic - wasn't CFC standard and got sold.  Vastly improved whilst away, and got bought back and was excellent.  Went down a bit lately, but that's another matter.

AND, I still think KdB is a flawed player who happens to be playing in an excellent team which matches his skill set.  I maintain that his decision-making is dubious at best and he goes missing in the big games

He has gone missing in the big games in the past. This season all the 'big games' he has played he has probably been their best player. He was the MOTM in the game against us this season and scored a brilliant goal with his so called 'weaker' foot. Liverpool when they won 5-0, although having a man advantage put in 2 of the best assists you are going to see. His first assist was before Mane was sent off. That was another MOTM performance in a big game. He was the MOTM against Arsenal for sure.

Champions League against Napoli he also was arguably their best player in both matches too. So in total, all the big games this season he has either been MOTM or the catalyst for victory. Seems like you are definitely living in the past.

Maybe, but not me ::MooNeY::

So who would you say their best player is? Or was your answer a reply to nibs saying he will be crowned POTY? Because right now, he clearly is their best player and if there was one player to get injured from their team who you think who cause a significant blow it is him. Also he for sure right now has been player of the season. You are definitely in denial.

And regarding Salah and KDB, anyone saying that they were poor at us, they were bloody like what 21 at the time? This the PL and an adjustment period. If you are getting rid of players that age for not impressing, that is truly ridiculous. You need to give these players time and as shown with the likes of KDB, Salah and Lukaku, when they get more games and mature, they turn into top players. How people are using their time at the Bridge to support Mourinho's reasons for moving them on is ridiculous. They were still kids ffs.

I don't think it's specifically "Salah-bashing".  When he was here, he was dog-sh*t bad.  He went elsewhere, and appears to have got better.  It happens.

It's the same old 20/20 hindsight that is hugely prevalent in here (and in lots of other areas of society, not just football) that bitchbabies use to moan about De Bruyne, Lukaku etc being sold, when all they did while here was take up a squad place and fail to impress whenever they played (OK, OK, I know KdB had a decent 20 minutes against Hull or some such northern pub team).

Salah was pants, got a bit older, got a bit more experience, moved to a team where they play in a very specific way that appears to be absolutely perfect for his Jack Russell-like chasing after a ball, so looks like a footballer rather than a sprinter.  SWP was 'kin excellent at that, and we let him go as well.  Even Gronkjaer scored.

I don’t agree with that at all Neither Salah nor De Brruyne nor Lukaku were give a decent chance by Mourinho, and he also sold Mata without playing him. The minutes that Salah were given were mostly at the end of games and there is a natural tendency to try too hard when you feel someone has already made their mind up. Cuadrado is another.

If we go back further Robben was very underestimated and allowed to leave. My sense is that Jose simply doesn’t like right field attacking players.

I have ave always felt that Salah, De Bruyne were given very rough deals by Jose. It pissed me off at the time and it still does.

Big one today mates. Really need all three points but would take a draw if we must (like last year at Anfield - though we should have won except for Diego's pitiful missed PEN late).

I expect the same XI and tactics as against Man United, though I think a clean sheet will be much more difficult with Liverpool's attacking ability. But we should be able to score as well.

Off to bed now as the match kicks off in about 9 1/2 hours.

Come on you Chelsea!!

I don't want to start an argument about Salah but he was only bad when Mourinho completely shunned him to Cup games. The times he did play when he first signed he looked promising, watch his start vs Stoke away. I don't think he just became crazy good overnight, the potential was always there, even at the club we signed him from.

It's rare a player finds his feet after he's been shoved to cup games suddenly, what must that do to your confidence.

Got a feeling it will be a draw today. Liverpool have been good at home this season in the league, I think the only dropped points were to Utd when JM parked a lot of men behind the ball to earn a 0-0.

The crowd appears to give them an extra man and probably sway the refs with any 50/50 decisions.

The other factor for this match is playing in Azerbaijan this midweek.

I'm going for a 1-1 draw today, I think they'll cause us some problems at the back, they'll raise their game against and test our width. But that defence of theirs is a big problem, we should be able to punish it but I think both teams will perform good enough to see it out.

Sadly not so optimistic about this one, Anfield is very hit and miss, it's usually a game I like to get out the way.

I have a good feeling about this game, we are capable of holding out teams at or above the caliber of their attacking force, or keep them to a single goal. Their defence, and that's not going to be solved overnight by a personnel or tactical change. We will get good chances, it's up to us to convert them. Morata/Hazard are in good form, Cesc is supplying good through balls with time at his disposal, they should fear us more than we do.

We blocked out Lukaku pretty well, hopefully we will do well against Salah in his 'revenge' game. He never got a proper go with Chelsea, it's probably he's not one of those high work rate players. When you get benched for a month, your next cameo is usually crap. His last cameo was the game against Spurs, when we were down like 1:4 or something, he was in a hiding for nothing. Jose conveniently cut him loose a few days later. I'm not going to drag this into another rant, but despite winning a title in his second term with us, he did hell a lot of damages to us in the long run.

wud  happily take a draw here.
With mane and coutinho back they will cause all sorts of problems and we might not cope if they click.

Loadapoo fc will be fired up for this game. They're gonna come at as 100 mph from kick off. Need kante & Baka in centre mid to weather the storm & hopefully pick em off on the break.

Shame Moses isn't fit to start this one. I think he'd be ideal as he's good enough 1v1 to deal with Mane and is also much more of a threat offensivly than Zappacosta who's dissapointed me frankly.

I genuinely think we'll do a Man City job on them today. I believe we'll score 3 or 4 today. I'm pretty confident. Hope it doesn't come back to bite me. However, just as protection I will say I'd be happy with 3 points any way possible.

Pool have been good this season in spells, we're coming off  horrendous away trip (even though we didn't have to work too hard during the match) and they have ridiculous pace up front...

That said, games here for us to win, they are diabolical at the back as mid week showed, have issues with set pieces, and have been thrashed by both city and Spurs. I know people are worried about Salah etc. But I'd be more working been a scouser looking at hazard and alvaro.

Win and march on

We have played well the last few matches but the opposition were poor. West Brom were awful and Carrier Bag were shocking. Liverpool will pose a much Tougher test. They haven't lost at home all season  and they have only conceded 1 goal. Their attack is very good and Kante and the back 3 will have to work overtime. Not too hopeful of a win here. I'd take a draw but I  can see us being on the backfoot in this match. Let's hope we can get at least a point. COME ON YOU  BLUES !!!
