That was awful. Passes going astray, Luiz acting like 'Calamity' Luiz, Slow, very slow play. All in all dreadful and we only have Morata on the bench . We need to step up the pace second half. So far, So bad.

I'ts not about personnel but performance, we have Pedro and Willian out there, they should be tearing it up but nobody is. Doesn't help that many of our players can do a ground pass correctly.

Even those players you mention, they are not top bracket players, they are run of the mill, i know every player cant be a superstar, but come on, there is so many players in this squad that i could easily get rid of, makes it worse when you see liverpool signing players like salah,and now linked with mahrez, why cant we sign players that go straight into our first XI

I'd like to say I'm shocked at how bad we've been, but I'm not. We've seen this pathetic, lethargic, uninterested kind of performance before. Just utterly, utterly sh*t. Most of the players out there simply showing they are not good enough. Batshayui isn't moving at all. Willian & Pedro remain frustrating. Drinkwater is a squad player. Bakayoko is probably the worst player to play this many games for Chelsea in the last 2 decades. Luiz is all over the place. Kenedy should have been sold in the summer, he's awful.

Even Conte looks uninterested, which is probably transmitting to the players.

Gives Antonio ammunition with the club that our squad has not got the depth they might think it has. These players should be up for this as half will be sitting on their arse or not even in the squad in the week.

I predict a sloppy 1-0 win for us or a replay... Nothing good to take from this so far.

That's the problem, Barkley doesn't improve the first team but rather an investment and adds to the squad. Im not even sure Chelsea improved the first team in the summer. Liverpool are getting Keita in the summer and most likely Mahrez in January.

Not only is the ref losing it in such a sh*t slow game, I've also had the pleasure of hearing commentators complaining about fixture congestion.

We played Wednesday so max just 2 days to prepare. I don't think they are all sh*t just trying to put it together in unfamiliar territory.

Conte needs to give them some inspiration and direction IMO.

We all criticiced Morata but this Batsuay is a total clown on the pitch. Baka has also been really poor, like against Arsenal. This game has shown how dependent we are on Hazard. And our problem in this game is that we don't have much force on the bench either.

 

A problem we have had in recent years is our players look so lethargic and uninterested, i don't understand why that happens. It's like the players come to games unprepared. It's been going on for years now.

I'd hook Bats right now, replace for Musonda and play Pedro as striker

You said it man......the Clubs and Cont's ambition is way out of sync........guess WHO's gonna pay for it? Us of course. Time after time they rather neglect a winning team than setting the bar higher. My Brother is right, we are heading the arsenal way........

To be fair, we won on the background of faltering Man U, Man C and other big clubs.  They have upped their level, we haven't, and now we need to adjust our expectations from high to moderate.

If you go back the last 2-3 years, pedro drinkwater baka zappa barkley batshuyai, none of them improve our XI,

Surely its not hard to get the basics right though, non league teams can do that and make a couple of chances. Stupid flicks and alot of passes are going missing, plus Luiz day dreaming about leaving.

Utter tripe hoping for a big improvement in the 2nd half otherwise we're not gonna be in the hat for the 4th round draw Iam afraid...

Wonder how Barcelona did put up with Pedro for so long with that poor passing.
