Giroud is a facking donkey, as are Carroll, Crouch and Dzeko. Add one of this lot to the recent purchases of Drinkwater and Barkley and we are heading straight to the Championship.

I like Giroud he’s a decent player but I don’t see Arsenal selling and especially loaning to us when they’re fighting for top 4 

I'd take Giroud as a backup striker, he always seemed to be underrated at Arsenal.
Still, it pisses me off seemingly how incompetent the board can be at times.

I would prefer Giroud to be honest, not a bad backup

At least signing Giroud would keep up the tradition of signing injured players

as if everyone's current examples of mediocre signings were not signed when he was here.

If we didn't sack the managers we wouldn't have won those things. The only way we went wrong with Scolari and AVB was appointing them in the first place, imagine if we stuck by them out of some sort of misguided sense of stability, no Hiddink mark one, no Munich (which in turn would have meant no Hazard), two less FA Cups, not really worth thinking about!!

you probably summed up the boards mentality towards Conte as well. Which makes it also understandable as to why they want to get the players they prefer over what Conte wants exactly.

Offering a 1 year deal would be ridiculous if true especially at the price banded about.

Sky Sources: We are told Edin Dzeko's proposed move to Chelsea is looking “unlikely”. 

Roma Sporting Director Monchi said on Wednesday the club had not received an acceptable offer for the striker.

Dzeko played the full game at Sampdoria and scored a stoppage-time equaliser on Wednesday.

The Emerson deal being in the balance could be tied to this one as roma might be getting a little upset with how we are dealing with dzeko. No doubt they expected better given how quickly we snapped up rudiger.

Just yesterday the Guardian reported they'd accepted our £44m offer for the pair. Quality reporting.

Sometimes journalists tweet sh*te but sometimes my reaction is:

can't help but think because marina and conte don't see eye to eye and conte's implied comments about the board to the media, maybe her/the board are not allowing conte his targets. if this is the case, it helps absolutely nobody and the paying fans going to the game don't deserve it. i'm not at all saying it's true, just seems odd how everything was agreed up until conte kept making comments to the media about the board. 

Sky Sources are woeful, so ill take whatever they say with a pinch of salt.

The only media i have seen come out with any details about this deal are the Italians, surprise surprise.   When they say it is definitely off, I will believe it. they still arent

 

A lot of it is guesswork, dimarzio seems to be on the money with this.  Lets see what he says
