It's not in the head, he's not quick enough, he's not good enough on the ball.

He worked well for a bit with Conte because all he had to do was sit up high and try to head a few in.  Does he even score the goal Kante scored today?

Nah, I can imagine what would have happened.

He makes the same run as Kante did, chests the ball down, feels the defender’s breath on his neck and he’s on the floor appealing for a penalty.

He was barely on the field for 10 mins, was he supposed to have scored a hattrick. Why is there so much negativity on these forums. Fair play he hasent been good enough a lot of the time this year, but im not sure what impact anyone would of made in the time he had.

Did you watch the game? Don’t think he managed to control the ball or make a pass. Was absolute dog sh*t and made no serious effort.

Of course i watched the game. I just think the amount of hate hes receiving for being flung on in the last 10 mins is absurd. If he played 25+ mins plus then id understand it a bit more.

I don't think he needed to score, he just pisses the ball away so much, and doesn't win 50/50's.  With a 1-0 lead, and there is no confidence to play it to the CF and hold a ball.

When you can look so bad in 10 minutes says something, that's why so many are frustrated.

Sadly he's been an awful signing, time to get rid of in January and get another striker.

Seeing this video makes this situation all the more brutal, we are not talking about an outright sh*t footballer he shouldn't be performing so badly.

It's obviously a mentality thing but it doesn't matter, that's one of the most important aspects. If he can't cut it when the going gets tough then he never is, he might do one day but I don't think he ever will here and we can't afford to bank on him any more than we already have.

I don't think I've ever seen a forward who was so bad in front of goal in all my life. I think him missing those chances has definitely gone to his head.

The problem with video compilations is that they take no account of the time and score in the match when the moments happen. Morata had great scoring stats in a league were goal difference doesn't matter. He was 3rd/4th choice behind the greatest goalscorer ever and would often get game time when the match was won or against the weakest sides. No pressure. He just hasn't the mentality to be the main man and it's expectations, keeping him in summer was a gamble, we lost he simply isn't good enough for the job.

Clearly not enjoying life in Madrid. Bring him back home to the Bridge and watch the goals start rolling in.

This is the Madrid that he broke his contract with us to engineer a move back to, where they all idolise him, is that right?

Like everything in life, never go back it won't be the same experience that you remember.

It's not just his performance, but his awful attitude, just look at how interessted he was in our game :

Then add this: "‘We watched Alvaro Morata warming up at half-time. I say warming up… it was one of the most disinterested warm-ups I’ve ever seen,’" said Sky Sports’ co-commentator Andy Hinchcliffe. "‘He had his hands in his pockets for most of it.’"

I don't really care if he gets a goal or two, if he gets another chance. I just want him gone, because you can't trust this guy not to crumble as he has done for a long time and with the attitude he is showing I doubt he will snap out of it.

If thats the case get Benitez back in the job.

Yup, his attitude stinks.

Torres, yes I am doing the comparison again but bear with me, he clearly was shot of any confidence but he still kept his head down and gave every match 100%, even when he misses an open goal or a penalty.

Morata on the other hand, really looked like he didn’t want to be there. He thrives as a second striker, so if we’re going to keep him then have him as an impact sub.

The pressure of being Chelsea’s first striker and being expected to deliver has gotten him crumbling.

Torres at least tried, but he was past his sell by date before we signed him due to injury, but the goal in the nou camp and closing down to win corner in Munich  for drogs equaliser

If Giroud is out injured for a while then we need Morata until the summer unless we get someone in this month. Rotating with the false number 9 or giving Hazard 20 minutes rest looks like the options where we now stand.

No he didn't!!

I've had to say this so many many many times.

I think people have forgotten just how bad Torres was, which is understandable, but let's not reach levels of delusion here there were times when Torres would be walking around in a strop.

 Where are people getting this "Torres gave 100%" from? Torres rarely ever gave 100%, the guy had his shoulders slumped almost every game he played for us.

He must be paying them to say it, over half a decade on that's still the only plausible explanation i can come up with.
