December 15, 20187 yr Tbf, Firmino's only had one great season at Liverpool. Currently averaging a goal every 4 games for Liverpool this season. Morata averaging 1 goal in 3.Well, I will be happy if we replace Morata with Firmino. He might not score goals but I haven't seen any striker in Europe tight now with a better work rate. Take him away from that Liverpool team and Salah and Mane will struggle.
December 15, 20187 yr His first few months at the club he was brilliant. Unfortunately it's all gone downhill for him.Right after we signed him and even when he was banging the goals those first few months, I still wasn't convinced he was the right signing after we missed out on Lukaku.
December 15, 20187 yr Can't we hire a psychologist to help him? Torres was the last bloke in Chelsea who was as fragile as Morata. We need to stop comparing Torres with Morata. Torres was a great player, even when things wasn't going his way, you can see from his face how bad he feels, eventually he worked harder to make things change. But Morata never care.
December 15, 20187 yr LOL you're joking right? He gave Anelka a good run for his money when it came to sulking, giving up and walking around. You are talking about his early days with us right, well, have got lots of good memories about Torres when he was with us.
December 15, 20187 yr He was a great player at Bolton His nickname was literally le sulk... And I'm not talking specifically about his Chelsea career, he definitely had his best career here and longest career here. Every other club he could barely last a season there.
December 15, 20187 yr Funny! He didn't hid out on the wings, he was struggling to live to expectations as goal poacher and realized he was holding the team back by not scoring goals, so he was willing to drop back a bit to work hard for the team by setting up chances for others to score even if he can't score himself. Now if Morata can do that, am willing to keep him for as long as possible. Something something PTSD. There's a tendency to look back on the past with nostalgic rose-coloured glasses, so many Chelsea fans remember the Torres who scored against Barcelona, Shakhtar, Benfica and Bayern, rather than the utterly ineffective Torres who in the Premier League generally couldn't hit the side of a barn door and who too often hid out on the wing rather than getting into good scoring positions.

Sign Jermaine Beckford give him the same amount of chances and mollycoddling Torres got and he would score 1 in 5 with the odd good memory in there like Torres did. There's no defense for Torrres atall.

Still can't get over him saying he left Chelsea because he didn't feel important, the self entitled clown wasted more chances than any other player would ever get. First and hopefully last player i grow to dislike while he was wearing the Chelsea shirt, the sheer amount of excuses and mental gymnastics people still use for this guy is hilarious.

On this point, I remember one game against Man City in 2013/14 when he was going after every ball - he wound up setting up Schurrle and getting the last-gasp winner after taking on Joe Hart and Demichelis. Problem is that he only occasionally showed that level of commitment. Most of the time he was a passenger.

December 16, 20187 yr I dont know how and Why Anelka was bought into the discussion but Anelka for his price and contribution to Chelsea has done way more than Morata. I would rather have that Anelka right now than Morata.
December 30, 20187 yr We had one touch in the box after Morata came on, which was him losing the ball.

December 30, 20187 yr He was very poor today. Has to be on his way out. NBCSN commentator over here said something like “Morata sees his first action after missing the past few matches with a knee injury”. No, Sarri said he was left out for tactical reasons.
December 30, 20187 yr I don't care how, but hope he fcuks off next month and he never wears the chelsea shirt again...he's not only sh*t but his attitude stinks... Edited December 30, 20187 yr by The Brit

I assume that 'tactical reasons' is a euphemism for 'shocking form' then?
December 30, 20187 yr From loving the idea of him coming here to now wanting rid ASAP. His attitude and commitment are a disgrace and he’s just sulking about putting in the bare minimum. We need to ship him out now so we can recoup some money we wasted on him.
December 30, 20187 yr I think he is just so frustrated that things have not gone as expected that he is just depressed; with all those misses its now in his head, he overthinks and tries too hard thereby creating failure.....for all concerned he needs to go elsewhere to get his head straight; whether it be on loan or permanent move will be up to the club. I think he does have the attributes of being a good striker, he has pace, can score with his head and feet but he is going through a terrible time in his career which only he can sort out.
December 30, 20187 yr Morata is the perfect example of just how crucial the mental aspect is in football. He has all the tools to be a top striker but can't seem to cope with the pressures. An on form Morata that we saw in October and first 2 month's last season is a real asset but his mentality means we won't get that version enough to be worth keeping. Although that said a Morata who furfilled his potential would never have left Madrid so we wouldn't have benefited anyway.
December 30, 20187 yr Wrapped up on the bench like it was Siberia ffs.Weak in the challenge and a couple of poor touches. The performance of someone on his way out.
December 30, 20187 yr An utter donkey. Dreadful when he came on. Confidence shot, mentally weak and can't hit a barn door. He's surely off in January?

Depressed, mental block, bad attitude, there is a medical term for Morata's deficiency's, it's commonly known as f**king CRAP!!!

December 30, 20187 yr It's not in the head, he's not quick enough, he's not good enough on the ball. He worked well for a bit with Conte because all he had to do was sit up high and try to head a few in. Does he even score the goal Kante scored today?
