Next Chelsea Manager

  1. 1. Here are the current favorites with Conte included. Jody Morris is in there as he is the current youth team manager, and promoting from within seems to have worked for Barca, so why not us?!

Zola could be back on the bench. Would be a good move I think as I’m sure the players will respect him.

I hope we go nowhere near Higuain. I'm not saying he's a crap player, but he's a bit of a bottler and always looks out of breath after a short sprint.

An out of breath bottler sounds like a crap player to me.

If Sarri does become the new Chelsea manager, how long do we think it will take him to implement his style of play into the team? Do we think he starts with the same style he used at Napoli day one? Or does he slowly integrate his style over the first year?

You have to give him time. Perhaps the first month will be difficult. The community shield is too much soon to see a team ready for sure. But when the merry-go-round will begin to spin , it will be a show time.

He'll play his style immediately but it will take time to get us performing that way consistently. It will be with ups and downs.

Your man is talking crap. Positional awareness is one of the biggest factors a manager can alter. Our technical ability is above Napoli's and we have one of the most tireless and hard working teams in the league (Azpilicueta, Kante, Rudiger, Willian, Pedro etc.). He is wrong about everything here.

Stuff like this gets on my tits. Sarri is reckoned to be a genius manager, yet supposedly he's going to come in and insist on playing exactly like his Napoli team did, no matter whether the players suit it or not. No consideration that a) he might actually adapt a bit considering he's joining a new league, or b) that the players might actually adapt under new coaching.

Oh and that stuff about players not being able to learn positional awareness is bollocks.

I hate we aint got no history's articles.  Usually negative all the time.

Its done, Anotonio paid off, Sarri in .........announcement today or next week

(egg on face if i'm wrong, but certain all the same )

If its as close as made out, maybe that dimarzio or alfredo pedulla will have some more details later.

Maybe our press might even join in!  They're way off the pace on this story

I find it at best very cheeky, that even if Ancelotti is taking over Napoli we still need to pay 8 million release clause for Sarri! Some Italian job indeed.

I don't get this stuff the media keep saying about him being sacked but also still under release clause. How can those both be true?

I can’t get my head around that too.

Going over on social media with manure fans and the lot saying Sarri ball wont work at Chelsea. God they're obnoxious. We have technical players in Hazard, Kante, Rudiger, Christensen etc I'm sure the squad is capable of adapting.

It's a fan post, but your point remains, and i read about a third of it, rolled my eyes and decided i didnt want to read that dross anymore.

Same, just like they've signed Ancelotti but Sarri is sacked but not sacked but is still technically their manager and the clause is still in effect? Um...what?:huh2:

Because he hasn't been sacked yet, he is just been removed as Head Coach. Since he is still under contract, Napoli wants a fee/compensation.

Makes no sense to me, surely if a club replaces you in your role, then you'd be the one expecting to be compensated. Then again football contract stuff is weird.

So, I read somewhere, can't remember where exactly (probably Twitter, and some random account that I chose to believe for no reason), that his (Sarri) contract is up at the end of the month? Any truth to this? Chelsea just waiting it out until then?

Yes. I saw that too. If so I suspect we won't announce anything until June 1st.

Not sure how it works to be honest, but I think they can keep him as long as they honour their part of the contract and decides he don't have to honour his part. Anyways, he seems to still be under contract and he hasn't been officially been sacked yet. The official home page of Napoli only mention that the president thanks him, which many people believe it his goodbye to Sarri. And it most likely is, but again he hasn't been sacked. It seems like Napoli want some sort of compensation from us.
