According to reports Sarri is annoyed by the comments from De Laurentiis and their relationship is falling apart

Maybe he will just sack him and get us out of paying the release clause :laugh2:

Gazzetta dello sport: Chelsea are negotiating with Sarri indirectly via his son who handles his business, both parties have met on more than one occasion. #CFC

Hopefully we get a manager who enjoys attacking and is not obsessed with the defensive crap.  I hope we get a manager who trusts in the players and is not intimidated by City, Liverpool etc.  I really hope for a breather and no more parking the bus!  I want teams to be scared of us and instead them to practise defensively against us.  I hope Sarri gives us this!

It would surely be:

Azpi  Christensen  Rudiger  Emerson

Then midfield consisting of:

             Kante

New Midfielder   RLC?

The a strike force of

Bailey?    Morata/Bats   Hazard

What do we reckon to this?

Bakayoko showed some flashes of what hes capable at the end of the season, wouldnt give up on him just yet

They must have been some quick flashes because i didn't see anything.

Honestly, i feel like a lot of people here( and in football forums in general) just regurgitate whatever they hear and then post it as gospel or some sh*t like that, like claiming that Sarri is a serial loser( seriously, i've read that) without even considering the context behind the facts, which just leads to a mass of spread out BS's and dumb, uninformed opinions.

Also, if that's the best that Bakayoko has he can f**k right off tomorrow, high potential player my backside, never seen a player with so little technique become a great player( just had to let it out, cant take hearing people singing his praises and raving on and on about his so called potential( which he doesnt have BTW))

We need a manager who understands both the art of attacking and defending. When we went with AVB the guy didn’t have a clue about defending. Hopefully Sarri understands the balance between both.

His Napoli side conceded 29 goals in the league this season.

Got something wrong.

No point trying to get a new manager in if the board are still going to f**k around and not get the players the manager asks for.

Conte isn't a bad manager, but there was only so much he could do with our terrible squad

Yeah right, our squad is 200% good enough for top 4, and the football we played was absolutely unacceptable in my eyes and he CLEARLY had a lot of problems with a lot of players.

He is a good manager, but he is absolutely not the Messiah that every Chelsea fan suddenly thinks he is simply because he is leaving( because he wants to leave as well BTW)

Losing 3-0 to newcastle, losing at home against Tottenham, bournemouth, watford, the sh*t results go on and on, and even though he was not the sole responsible for these losses, the manager is the face of the team, and his mood, Cowardice( yes, cowardice) and negativity clearly affected the whole team, not to mention his constant whining to the media.

So, for me, thanks for the trophies, he was a good manager for us, but i am f**king relieved to see the back of him

The evidence would suggest otherwise.

We stripped a lot of experience from our squad last summer. Terry, Matic and Costa all left and all of their replacements were inferior, especially in terms of experience and leadership. Throw in Luiz’s absence for essentially the whole season and you’re left with a squad looking short on a lot of leadership.

That was as big a factor as any this season.

The two Manchester teams were always going to be in the top four given the financial backing their managers got so it was between us, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal for the other two spots.

We paid for disrupting the squad and buying poorly in summer.

I understand and somewhat agree with some of the points you're making. Some of the football we played was poor and his whining to the media as well.

But to say the squad we have is capable of top 4 is a stretch too far.. Our team is pathetically bad and outside of the starting XI, almost every sub and reserve is near garbage level. Hell, even in our usual starting XI we have major problems. There is no way we can compete with the 2 Manc clubs in terms of depth and quality off the pitch. Not to mention Tottenham's and Liverpool's starting XI is way ahead of us. Even Arsenal's starting team on paper is much better than us, at least in an attacking sense.

I thoroughly disagree Conte is to blame for a lot of things, mainly for, no rotation( Emerson who IMO is a better player than Alonso, only started one match until the last month of the season, for a manager who can't stop complaining about squad depht , that is unacceptable), terrible squad morale, no plan B( his plan A also, is too negative and doesnt go down well with a lot of players), lack of subs( barely using players like RLC last season and Bats this season) and not to mention moaning in public.

I am 100% convinced that had Conte fixed some of these problems last season, we would have finished in the top 3, but he didn't and somehow he is the biggest victim of our board and our players are 100% to blame and Conte is free of all the blame???

A lot of things didnt go according to plan last season, but Conte was not good at his job last season and for me, he has to go.

yet last season everyone was going on about how Conte is the greatest thing since sliced bread when we won the league..

Bollocks. We have players other teams would kill for, most of whom won the league just a year ago. Yet because we make a couple of changes and have a sh*t season, suddenly that team is 'pathetically bad'? I don't think so.

The fact you think Arsenal's team is 'much better' than ours on paper says it all really.

Really? The way I see it, most of our squad is past their prime and trash now. Outside of maybe 5-6 players most the others are below par.

and i said Arsenal's team in an attacking sense, which they clearly are better. Aubameyang and Lacazette put our attack to shame.

I thoroughly reject that our squad is just as strong as Tottenhams and Liverpools. We have lacked a lot this season but the fact that we were pushing for top 4 despite the fact we were off the boil the majority of the season suggest that we have a squad capable of top 4.

I'm not saying our squad or signings were any where near as good as it could have been but to suggest our squad isn't capable of top 4 is ridiculous, the majority of our squad have won more premier league trophies than most Tottenham and Liverpool players could ever dream of.  Heck even drinkwater is likely to win more trophies than either tottenham or Liverpool in the not to distant past and future.

Agreed losing Terry was a big hole to the whole of Chelsea not just the first team to fill, Matic is a lot better than the majority on here gave him credit for and whilst I wouldn't consider him a leader he is and was a top quality midfielder that provided balance to our team which has sorely been missed, and it is always hard to find a top quality striker.

Although I would say that if Conte had not acted as a sour puss all year the squad he had/has is still enough for to come top 4. Negativity breads poor performances and we get enough of it from the press, we do not need our manager also providing it to the squad.
