interesting that Ole put Lingard on ahead of Sanchez - mustn't think much of Alexi, surely he must have know Lingard was a huge risk

I was thinking the same, looks like he shouldn't have even been on the bench. I did think in OGS defence what have the medical team said and maybe Lingard himself said he was good.

Caught the last 10 looked like JM''s Utd playing Liverpool.

Had to laugh, thinking some of some of the challenges. 'Pogba you dirty b'stard' only on replay to see it was Lukaku making a striker's challenge when defending.... excusable.

It needed to be Mourinho's Utd in the circumstances.

good result.

@Bogga united did well second half, didn't give Liverpool a sniff

Yeah, I was expecting a lot more from the scouse bastard. If I knew about the injuries and the early subs I would've taken 0-0 every day of the week...

Don't understand why Jesse was put on instead of Sanchez though... And why the hell he didn't score :(

they couldn't have tested Lingard's fitness very well - I thought you'd get done second half but to be fair if Smalling had just stayed onside you could have had a win

the scousers look more likely to drop points than City - it'll be interesting; as for United - away to Palace next could be tough too

Lingard was perhaps a gamble, that didn't pay off.

Cant even remember a singe really dangerous opportunity for Liverpoo so we must've done something right today.

About Smalling, he was offside so nothing to whine about there...

Can someone explain or summarize for me why I still see news about Hillsborough every week? I'm not objecting to it, I'm genuinely curious as to how this whole situation hasn't been resolved over the past 30 years.

The thread was archived so I figured here was the best place.

i would imagine that they are gearing up for when liverpool win the title

So Brendan Rogers has accepted the Leicester job with immediate effect re MSN media (yet not the BBC), I see Leicester as potential top 4 contenders with the right leadership.

Too late this season and Brendan may or may not be the right man.

I like Brendan Rodgers as a manager, think he and Leicester will be well suited to eachother.

Why would he go there is my question. I'd rather be coaching champions league football every season or the likely prospect of it at least. Good luck to him, I'm glad we play him twice a season until they are relegated.

Perhaps Leicester pay him better, and it may be his road back to the Premiership, with more interesting matches than just the CL matches. An opportunity to show his character!

Leicester have some good young players, Brendan might fancy his chances. If he can get them into the CL next season that would be some achievement.

Not saying it will happen though.

The on-going trial to find a scapegoat so Victimpool’s whining can kick in to full speed!

It's started already - we're going to have to reopen the old Brendan Rodgers quotes thread.

Today's opener "  "I'll give my life to make the supporters proud of their club,"

Never one for hyperbole our Brendan :laugh2:

Do it, Brendan, do it :laugh2:

Don't quite see how his life and club pride are interconnected, but perhaps we'll find out.
