If anything, you have to admire his ambition/confidence because surely he just passed up one of the most secure jobs in European football right now to gamble his career in a position where 1-2 years in the hot seat is now considered a long term role as a manager.

It's not really a good choice of words from Brendan Rodgers when you remember it was only a few months ago that Leicester's owner actually died in a Helicopter crash outside their stadium  He's just one of these people that can't help but come out with stupid comments

1-2 years on £5m  a year - that'd do nicely. anyway, I reckon he can see that before long Rangers will catch up, could be next season and he might as well get out before that happens.

It's basically a dead end job. 

Yeah he's going to play Champions League football but they still struggling to get through the qualifying rounds before the competition starts proper and then most the time they're just the whipping boys of their group. 

He's managing a team in Scotland that is basically expected to win the league, he's tasked with not f**king it up. 

He was on course to win the domestic treble for the third year in a row... He's clearly an ambitious manager and maybe he just felt there's no challenge in managing Celtic. 

I actually admire him for taking the Leicester job. They've got a good squad there and I think they've massively under-performed under Puel. I think he's got a good chance of improving them.... And credit to Leicester too for the level of ambition they've shown in his appointment.

What, already? He's only been there for about 5 minutes.

I see City have achieved another suspicious sponsorship deal. This time they've got a huge kit deal with Puma. It's only worth 5 million more a years than ours with Nike, but it does end earlier. The thing this time is that it's a joint deal with several of their franchise clubs. I expect City will get 64M a year and the others will share one million.

Fair do's they are doing well and they play nicely, score plenty of goals and have a popular manager, but seeing as they can't even fill their own ground and have thus far not attracted the kind of global following that even we have managed, it's a very generous deal. Probably signed with the Dubai branch of Puma.

I hate to say it, but they are so well run (they even do the dodgy stuff well) that it's hard not to see them completely dominate for a very long time indeed.

Think he has proved that he just got lucky that one season with Leicester. Lovely bloke but not very good coach.

Fulham could do a lot worse than to give Big Sam a call.

Will Fulham get the new manager bounce this weekend. I think not yet the plot thickens.

Fulham are a mess right now. Hiring and firing managers in quick succession like that should tell them that it's the squad that is the problem.

Alas it was inevitable. CR was a bad appointment at Fulham and they will go down. I've got a couple of mates who bless 'em, are Fulham supporters and they said the football has been the worst in ages and CR has looked clueless.

I can, outside of the Leicester anomaly, one season with us and to a lesser extent Monaco his career has been average to terrible.

He's a lovely man but a very average coach/manager in my opinion.
