His FIRST ever trophy where we played no-one of any note all the way through!!

Conte was in a different class and it's no wonder he will be remembered fondly by many whereas Sarri will be soon forgotten by all but a small minority (you + one or two others!!)

His first trophy at the first big club he managed, Conte didn't win his first major trophy until he was at Juventus? Also took us to another final which we arguably should have won.

Conte was a different class for one season only. Second season he was worse than Sarri. No way should Conte be kept on some pedestal by Chelsea fans whilst Sarri is ridiculed.

Yeah I keep neither of them on a pedestal. I worship none of our ex managers.

Except Robbie.

Teams tend to adopt the personality of their coach.  In Conte's first year, he was excited (as above), and the team were solid and won the league.  In his second season, he sulked and moped, and so did the team's performances.

Sarri was subdued and robotic on the sideline, and so was the play of his team.

League titles are by far most important and will always remembered in years to come, Conte will be forever written in our history as a title winning manager,

Sarri won a lesser cup competition so will probably have a nice sentence or 2 wrote about him in the history book in future years.

Anybody who says they prefer Sarri over Conte is wrong, how can you prefer not winning the league ?

ktbffh

It’s not even a debate, Conte is and will continue to be a superior manager than Sarri.

A league win against one of the best City sides means much more than a Europa League where we only beat one decent side.

Conte left in a sour situation but his achievements prior to that made him a fan favourite and his relationship with the fans  was one of respect and adulation unlike Sarri who continues to leave little petulant digs at a club who made him a winner.

This is hilarious, I certainly wouldn't let a cigarette stinking scruff bag tell me what to do,

What kind of man leaves his family his wife in hosptial and newborn son to go "play" run about a field with his mates chasing a ball.

Koulibaly should of grown a pair as big as kepa's ?

Koulibaly went off to play professional football, I went off to an over 35 game in the local Sydney league after my second or third kid, I can’t recall. I am still happily married with 4 kids and 3 grandkids. What am I going to do in hospital, hold my wife’s hand for ten hours and say “well done” another 1 million times.

That would depend on what your wife wanted, I think :laugh2:

That Sarri was reluctant to let Koulibaly go for the birth itself (if indeed that is what happened), is harder to stomach than recalling him after it, even for the bench. But I'm not a parent, and it's probably different for everybody.

Bit strange to defend the decision obviously touched a nerve with you about your decision.

Still it's only a game being played wether it's your profession or not, that being said any job wether it's a game or not you shouldn't have to ask to go to hospital for time needed it should be a human right.

City weren't a dominant side in Pep's first year, not even close.

We'll see who is the better manager now they're both in Serie A.

How do we measure their ability? Sarri’s inheriting a Juventus side that’s won Serie A for the last, what, eight years?

He’s got Ronaldo and their about to sign De Ligt for over £100m... and that’s just for starters.

What chance do the other teams have of getting close to Juventus short of Sarri having an absolute disaster of a season?

I’m sorry but that comment isn’t very clever is it?

You do realise It’s akin to someone walking now in and taking over Barcelona while Madrid are in turmoil.

I think just about every footballing person out there knows who the superior manager is and it’s got nothing to do with what will happen this season:

Juventus will walk the league next season like they normally do whoever is in charge, already signed Ramsey and De Ligt and looks like Rabiot is on his way, there squad is quality.

That’s what’s galling about it really. Sarri has taken a promotion.
