If the younger guys like CHO or Ampadu can't get in against Vidi then who are they gonna play against. I'm surprised that Hazard is on the bench. I don't know why Moses is on the bench. I know they said Sarri doesn't rotate his squad but what in the world is he going to do around Xmas and January where we could be playing every 3-4 days for several weeks. Now, against this type of team is absolutely perfect to start CHO or Ampadu.

I was really, deep down, hoping that Sarri would prove a lot of us wrong and play some of the kids that deserve some minutes

The problem is with that we also need to give our squad players time so they are not rusty when called upon. Most of our starting 11 tonight is not playing regularly at present. I would love to see Ampadu and Hudson Odoi get a chance instead but realistically we need to offload some of our fringe players to open up more spots for the emerging youth players

I'm of the opinion that senior players in a lesser competition can lack sufficient motivation. In that sense having talented youngsters on the field, eager to prove themselves can actually be the stronger squad.

In short, I'd rather see CHO and Ampadu if they're fit.

I understand people’s frustration re the young players getting a chance. The Club though would probably say everyone gone so far in recent years hasn’t gone on to play in a top team. Look at Solanke, turned down staying with us to go to he dippers on 50k a week. Didn’t get on the bench in the carabao cup.

I really want to support him, but everything from his lanky frame, white boots to his pretty face and nationality is just too Torres-esque.

Every time Morata shoots the camera pans to the bench cos the telly people are praying for comedy gold by seeing someone on the bench pi$$ing themselves laughing at Morata clownish attempts.
