Real shame we won't get to see more youth, but it seems we're really taking this competition seriously. It's a way to get into the CL, so we're being serious about this.

We could still take it serious and play half the u15s ffs, this team are farmers and postman, sarri may be a great coach but why cant he coach young kids?? It makes no sense at all, ampadu played toe to toe against eriksen flr wales but isnt trusted to play a team on a thursday night who are league 1 standard

Shame then, that all we have an academy for is to loan players and sell for profit, was hoping we might see a change in that philosophy. 

Im extremely disappointed. Ampadu is a welsh international as a teenager, yet cant get any minutes with us. Mount has been called up by England, but atleast hes as far away from us this season. And hudson odoi not even on the bench. As much as I love Sarri, atleast these players were getting a chance under Conte. 

Another big disadvantage to this is how is kovacic and willian and pedro going to be 100% for sunday.

Re Pedro, i still maintain that if we had rested Pedro in the last EL game we probably would have won that and the WHU game. That game we were crying out for a runner off the ball and Pedro was sat in the stands injured from the PAOK game.

Disappointing CHO doesn't even make the bench, I don't think he will be rushing to sign a contract here, especially when he sees sancho has just made the England squad.

It isn't surprising though, we have massive squad, and sarri will want to use these games to keep everyone fresh, that being said, Willian could probably have done with a break, so I'm suprised Moses didn't start. 

Hopefully this is a better game than paok, and we get to see some goals, a good half an hour for Ampadu, and a first start for RLC. 

I thought Hudson-Odoi signed a new contract. 

What does Hudson Odoi have to do to get a game FFS! He looked one of our most lively players in pre season and I had high hopes for him. I really thought he had done enough to impress Sarri.

I really don’t understand it.

Disappointed with no CHO at all and Ampadu only on the bench. Most other teams manage to give their youngsters a try, why can't they even get a game against such weak opposition? 

As far as 'rotation' goes he has changed 9, yes 9 players from the last starting 11 I understand.
I loike most others would like to see some of our younger talent get more time.
But.. If Sarri thinks the match is better spent making 1st team players match fit for more Important games than that is a reasonable tactic, despite us just thinking of youth players in a probable walkover..

If it was my son in mount or CHO position, I would advise them to leave. Out of the world's best players, there is very few who came through at an elite club, it isn't only chelsea's issue, it is modern football in general. 

The way to the top is to play regularly at the best standard you can, from as young as you can, then impress enough for an elite club to spend a lot of money on you. If you haven't been signed for a decent fee, you don't get as much of a chance in my opinion.

If the younger guys like CHO or Ampadu can't get in against Vidi then who are they gonna play against. I'm surprised that Hazard is on the bench. I don't know why Moses is on the bench. I know they said Sarri doesn't rotate his squad but what in the world is he going to do around Xmas and January where we could be playing every 3-4 days for several weeks. Now, against this type of team is absolutely perfect to start CHO or Ampadu.

I was really, deep down, hoping that Sarri would prove a lot of us wrong and play some of the kids that deserve some minutes

I hope hazard gets a cameo and a goal. I don't think he likes a complete rest.

And they don't even have to be as good as Kane either. Even if we had them as a squad player, it would save us a ton of money that we can spend on players to improve the first 11. Players like Zappacosta and Drinkwater are just a waste of money, I would rather see youngsters take their spots.

Now... Err... Listen to him?
