After this and the 11/9 Heathrow incident... :blush2:

Not to mention his spell in New York; that must have been the final straw  :laugh2:

What are you referring to?

On 9/12/2001 Lampard was 23 and apparently got drunk with some teammates at Heathrow Airport.

There seems to be differing accounts of what exactly he did and I do think that a lot of the accounts are likely embellished.  But needless to say he wasn't behaving very well especially in light of what had just happened.

Google Frank Lampard on 9/11.

Anyways my view on it is that he was 23 and drunk, so matter what he did I think he was probably just young and stupid.  He has also apologized for it multiple times

I also wouldn't put a ton of stock into some of the press accounts, British press seems to love embellishing bad behavior by soccer players.  Honestly I am more inclined to trust Lampard's recollection of what happened simply because he has admitted to poor behavior and apologized, while the British press has been assassinating people's character for a long time now.

Either way when Pulisic wasn't playing much, some Americans had this conspiracy theory that Lampard wouldn't play him because he hates Americans and I believe much of the basis of that conspiracy theory came from what happened that day.

Anyone who actually believed that is a moron.

I don’t need to google it.   I did a bunch of dumb sh*t when I was 23 and drunk.

Sadly I don't think he's a player capable of playing many games throughout a season. These injuries keep coming up and we're prevalent in Germany prior to the move.

Such a shame as he's a fantastic footballer.

It’s disappointing .

Just seen the footage of him injuring himself - he literally fell over.

Guy is made of glass.

Is there a link for that footage.  During halftime I heard them broadcast it but I was making Lunch for the kids and didn't get back in time to see it.

Really depressed me that he took a knock before the game, just took that edge out of it but we still got the 3 points.

I'm very concerned with how many injuries this guy picks up though.

Am I looking too much into this or is there a problem with the current medical team? I could be wrong here but I think we get far more injuries now than we did beforehand. Under Frank our players keep getting injured, last season was ridiculous for injuries.

I know Pulisic picked up a few knocks at Dortmund, but how many injuries is that now for Chelsea? If you were to check the medical book since he has been here it could be in double figures given all the little niggles he's had along the way.

Probably fair to say no one is more frustrated with his injury status than the man himself. Those pissing on his health, go ahead and feel proud of yourself.

sh*t on him when he's on the pitch and doing poorly, it's not like the dude is out there trying to pull a hamstring on purpose.

How many injuries was he picking up at Dortmund? I do recall him getting injured when Sancho first broke into the side.

He picked up a few knocks during his last two seasons with BvB, but never out for an extended period of time like he is now with Chelsea. If he can't stay healthy for long duration, EPL might not be the league for him sadly; even though it is his dream to play in the EPL.

His longest injuries with Chelsea, he was out for 75 and 63 days.

Before that, his longest injury length with BvB was 20 days.

It could be like Giggs early in his career he has to be managed carefully. Giggs was frequently out for 6 weeks at a time and finally had to miss international friendlies and used sparingly till his body developed, the rest is history and he went on to have a long career.

It's not just a case of being unlucky anymore, there must be something about him that causes these injuries.

I seriously believe Pulisic needs to get a personal trainer. Dude just can't stay healthy.

Probably won't make any difference. Some players just can't stay fit. Robben spent his whole career picking up injuries.

We hope this is the case.

His injuries began when he started to play full time for our National team at a very young age of 17 during last WC qualifying cycle. All the minutes he had accumulated between club and and internal games did a toll on his young body. If he can be managed well for another year or two, perhaps things can change.

Completely agree, I don't think it has anything to do with luck. Something is definitely wrong with his physio.

But I disagree that working with specialists won't change things. If he knows exactly what bothers him, he can work to target those areas specifically.

Will he ever run crazy all day long like Mount and Willian, probably not, but with targeted and careful attention to his healthy and body; he might be able to cut down the number of injuries or days he spent injured.
