I’m sorry but that’s ridiculous Jorginho has just left Sissoko to run off him and leave it 2 on 1 against Azpi. His lack of defensive knowledge and athleticism is a killer.

He’s a defensive midfielder who was known in Italy for his tidy passing, he isn’t a creative wizard. His passing however today has been poor and he’s slowing us down far too much

Barkley has been terrible in an attacking sense which is meant to be what he is good at. His shooting and passing are poor and he looks like a headless chicken at times.

 

We need to talk about Jorginho ... He needs to play more offensive. His endless sideway passing just not make it for us upfront atm !!

Hazard is infuriating me today. He is dropping way too deep for playing false 9 and as soon as he doesn’t think he’s getting the ball he’s doing that petulant whinging again.

Jorginho and Kante in the same line up isn’t going to work. We knew that a long time ago though

Alonso's link up play with Hazard has been woefully poor. He's taking forever to do anything and then he just gives it away.

Why is Hazard frustrated at Alonso there?

There go. Right there. Barkley wins the ball well on the left and passes it to Jorginho. Jorginho passes it 5 yards straight  back to him in a tight situation. Suppose that was Barkleys fault too.

I think it was more the accuracy of the pass into him, it was the same at home to Southampton - they just weren't on each other's wavelength - fine margins that give Hazard just that little bit extra to work with
