Yeah there are some suggestions the club are anticipating a lengthy ban + penalties given the investigation under Roman and Clearlake are planning ahead.

Really wouldn't surprise me, it's all gone quiet on that front. Would people be a bit more understanding if this ends up being the case?

Jeeezus, imagine how long the ban is going to be if that's what those 16yr old South American kids are for, lol

It makes sense now...this will be our squad till 2028, I haven't got the energy to cry or sulk anymore. It's all very mehhhhh...

Seriously though, I know they said 4 yrs before we start seeing a return but it would do us "all" an amazing bit of good if we can win something on the way. Even something small to show there is progress. *All, as in the fans, players and the club. The players really need it too.

Braga or Servette. Braga are no mugs, surely we couldn’t fluff our lines?

If braga beat serviette then they go to europa league and we play serviette.

Tbh, I think serviette is more our standard atm. Braga would knock us out.

Are we powerless to watch this crumble before our very eyes? Don't we have any influential fans or past figures that can speak up for us?

I never knew it was possible for so much money to be spent and a team not get stronger as a result. It's like spending £500 on Fifa Points just to acquire bronze and silver rated players.

The only way this works is if the scouts know something we don't that will greatly benefit this clubs success.

We’ve bought and buying so many players that there’s no way that they are elite. They’re bang average.

And now a number of the poorer purchases (e.g. Badiashile, Mudryk, Disasi) are likely to have to stay with our squad for the foreseeable future or we risk taking a huge loss which has to be balanced by selling more academy players.

Never been less excited for a new season.

Absolutely. I have reached a point where I almost couldn’t care less about the coming season. I might as well support a bit coin entrepreneur as Clearlake FC (formerly Chelsea FC).

Another manager that will be under pressure and will get fired before he reaches his third season. Not a single player signed that appears to even just possibly maybe improve on what we got by with last year. According to most sources we’re going to get uber dull possession football where the only excitement will come from our piss poor defending exacerbated by having a squad with only one player who can reliably pass to someone on his own team. The world’s largest collection of third choice goalkeepers. And a bloody awful kit too.

Sometimes I just have to shout because one of few things over the past 25 years that has given me joy is being destroyed right before my eyes.

Quite why people still get their gonads in a twist over unsourced, unverified Twatterati speculation is beyond me.

Was reporting on Sky last night as well

Was it sourced? Verified in any way? Probably based on the unsourced, unverified Twatterati thing. That's how these things work.

Club issued a statement stating he wasn’t for sale which means there is more to it.
Personally think he along with a few others need to be considering their options because I can’t see a clear pathway to the first team since the club won’t stop buying.
Still find it strange the manager took both him and Tyrique George to the States and only gave them 45mins only out of the 5 friendlies.

Another£200 million spent but in my honest opinion we haven’t improved our team what so ever. If you done any poll about  signings none of the players we signed would have been voted for . I really am beginning to hate out owners and feel so much disappointment with what’s happening to us   sorry for the childish rant but that’s how I feel about the club is being managed

Hated the c**ts from day one. We are a joke of a football club now, and deserve to be laughed at.

You have to assume that there will be more outgoings. However with a squad of 46(?), surly clubs will low ball us as we’re desperate to get rid of players?

I suspect Lukaku to be one of those outgoings. If Neto arrives then possibly we will offload one of our wingers? At least on loan anyway.

46 players in the first team squad. Legions of young kids being looked at and trained- I’m an old bastard now- was a half decent youth player, and then you had there were a small number of players deemed good enough to go training with clubs, leading on to potential schoolboy forms. Now they’re gazillions in and out of Cobham- live in the area- the changing room facilities at the training ground must be roughly the same size as the Excel Centre

Well Trevor, along with Broja and Lukaku, have now been banned from the 1st team and all first team facilities..."rather than give them a 'false impression of their prospects' by being present with the first team."

They are training with the development team, no doubt that will keep the kids pumped about their future at CFC --- "One day I could be lucky enough to be banned from the first team"

56 apparently.

List by the beeb, I think they got veiga's age wrong!

I think there's 23 odd 20yr olds or under (they don't count)...so still a lot of trimming needs to be done for the final 25 man squad.
