First, it was important to understand where this strategy comes from and why Chelsea believe it is necessary. The club recognises that there are around five European teams that are effectively impossible to compete with directly on a financial level, due to differences in overall revenue, stadium income, and state ownership - PSG, Bayern, Barca, Real Madrid and Man City.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So Revenue as we all know too well a major issue but surprise surprise no answers given (or for that point no question even asked) as to where our stadium redevelopment plans currently are and why we have been unable to at least generate the realistic minimum amount of revenue that a front of shirt sponsor could deliver (40m a season?) rather than F-all.

Remember reading somewhere that commercial was the thing that these guys were good at lol.

You'd think anyone with designs on being a half decent journalist would at least ask these very basic questions and not allow themselves to get fobbed off with an evasive or token answer !

Because of the fact that the majority of Clearlake Capital’s investment in the Blues comes from the company’s private equity funds, neither Eghbali nor Feliciano have the same level of personal investment in the Premier League club that Boehly boasts. It is all somewhat more complicated on account of the fact that Clearlake has no obligation to publicly disclose who the investors are that have stakes in Chelsea, which is information that may never come to light.

Really hope the protest is a success next week. I'm so happy Eghbali was there to witness everyone telling him to f**k off.

Best thing that happened today was the away support telling this vile f**ker to f**k off. Full credit to them.

I know he doesn't care but it must have hurt his ego to be told to f**k off while trying to sound smart and slick infront of his new employee.

Hope Rosenior got the message as well. So far he's nothing but Eghbali's puppet and he needs to work hard to earn people's respect.

What really pisses me off is that with a couple of tweaks, without even massively veering from 'the project', we could be back challenging again:

  1. Appoint a proper manager who's experienced enough to develop the young players and leave him to manage the team

  2. Sign 2 or 3 top players to help the team while the youngsters develop

This isn't something that requires £500m more spending, this could be done in the summer for £150m-£200m. We could raise a large chunk of that by selling players like Neto, George, Tosin, Disasi, Badiashile, Chalobah and Jackson. It really baffles me.

I think they had actually stumbled into a good situation at the end of 23/24, and could probably have kicked it on to the next level (a proper title challenge) if they'd allowed Pochettino to ride the Palmer wave, but add to it, as he wanted, those 2 or 3 experienced top players to help him guide the squad/team in the second year of his contract.

What they've done since then is take us several steps backward instead, with this incessant and pointless player trading undermined even further with inexperienced choices of coach.. They aren't developing any players, and they aren't making any money. Total failure. We're currently on track for 56 points, and presumably a huge loss in 26/27 without the CL revenue, which inevitably will mean that some of our better players will get sold to balance the books, and probably thus accelerating the death spiral of the club.

There needs to be accountability. There HAS to be accountability.

  • 8th in the table, winning 8/21 games

  • 17 points off 1st

  • 4 points off Liverpool in 4th. They play Arsenal tomorrow.

  • 2 points behind Brentford, in 5th.

  • 5 points ahead of 15th

Let's see if the fanbase can turn up on mass on the 17th.

What it has to be is more than just these results. This is the soul of our club not just one season.

That miserable and smug at the same time Billy Hunt Egbhali sitting in the stands today alongside the next coach who won’t finish his contract - FARK him and the other masturbaters alongside him. Him and his scumbag investor chums have dragged our beloved club through the mud, culminating in a shyte storm at The Cottage earlier today . I’m close to being done with them all, part of me though says why should I lose interest in the club I loved and followed as a kid and would of gone to ‘war’ for in the past, why let these Septic mutha farkers do that to you ? Another part says there’s SIX more seasons of this torture. Yes last season was ok by accident not by design. Maresca was a numpty and his tactics Shyte at times but he had a win % of 60 something tells me the next victim in line will never equal that. What a 2 bob state of affairs to go from proper European champions to a fiasco of the highest order and the laughing stock of the EPL in just under 5 years- good Bowie tune that with similar sentiments.

There's not just the risk that our current best players will be sold, also the few 18-21 or so year olds that actually do develop into the good, dependable players the squad desperately needs will also be sold in the years to come. The moment we can label them 'experienced', we lose them because that is the plan and business model all along. Every season we will have a squad full of young, inexperienced players that are supposed to earn the owners millions.

On point 1. Who would that be? Rosenior, for example, is very experienced in developing young players.

On point 2. Who would that be? Would you be willing to break the wage structure? What would you do if 2 of the 3 turn out to be flops?

Disasi, George, Jackson were attempted to be sold. Neto is one of our best wingers, regardless of current form. Chalobah shouldn't be sold.

Where is this current notion that Rosenior is very experienced/good in developing young players come from? More PR BS from the club. He's coached Brigton U-23, Derby County (as second and interim), Hull, Strasbourgh and now Chelsea. Does anyone know of any experienced, good player in the top divisions, that has come out from his coaching.

The current squad is now reliant on our competitors to allow changes. Unless they help us and take players we cannnot bring other "investments" in.

Im sure they wont be in a hurry to take our surplus and as far as our decent players are concerned we will likely have to cut the price. The big clubs will be picking over the bones of our squad till their hearts are content. The super duper model isnt looking so great now.

Even the loan facility is fully utilised or nearly. And with the really smart long contracts we can barely afford to pay off anyone.

Meanwhile we are rumoured to be considering Vinicius Junior at 150 million... who are we trying to kid ?

Our commercial geniuses are well and truly in a hole.

This is going to feel worse than a transfer embargo. We now are at the call of other clubs and they know it. From Real Madrid to Burnley they are calling the shots. And all this from having a budget to die for.

Very well done - Blue Co.

I am sure that one of Reece James or Cole Palmer go in the summer.

The only thing that would save that from happening is a Spanish bid for one of Cucu or Enzo, other than that what saleable assets do we have to continue funding this hugely successful youth movement we’re pioneering.

Look at the coaching jobs you just mentioned, then combine that with all the testimony from players he's actually coached, staff he's worked alongside, and the fans of those clubs - pretty much unanimously glowing in their praise for improving his players. PR from the club, sure - but calling it BS is nonsensical.

Spot on no one else, 50 for Reece 50 for Cucu 100 for Cole 100 for Enzo absolute tops take it or leave it 300mill then we go straight out and buy 6 brand new Jamie Gittens Boom !

Quite funny that all the players getting it in the neck on here yesterday/today are the older ones.

Oldest defenders ? Tosin, Cucurella and Chalobah

Oldest midfielders ? Fernandez and Caicedo

Oldest attackers ? Neto and Joao Pedro

Give Liam more kids and have at it LOL.

With literally zero precedence for selling our best players, how are you sure?

The club have sold exceptionally well in recent times so don't know why that would change. They're pretty much all saleable. That's the model.

We can’t sell hotels for ourselves.

We can’t sell the women’s team to ourselves.

They are obsessed with young players on low wages, RJ is on a huge contract, Cucu signed improved terms, CP would be instant ‘profit’ to show the model works, Enzo is a grey area.

You don’t think the Barco links spell the end for Cucu? 1/4 of the wage, 7 years younger. Cucu is probably at the height of his value at the moment.

The precedent wasn’t there because of all the other loopholes, now if we want to remain compliant and also continue this player farming model. That’s what will happen, it’s why Rosenior is appointed, he won’t kick up a fuss.

If they can't sell the club assets...they will simply work within their means. There's more than enough additional revenue (cup wins, CL qualification), and potential revenue from sales to not have to sell anything. The only reason they will is to manage squad size/dynamics and to comply with UEFA restrictions.

'Obsessed with young players on low wages' is an oversimplification. A lot of the first team squad are on reasonable terms.

Barco doesn't even play at LB for his club, so no I don't think it spells the end for Cucu. Barco has been exceptional at distributing and creating from the midfield, the links are purely based on his performances.

Wouldn't be averse to this. I've always thought Cucurella is a triumph of hair, energy and attitude over actual defensive nous !
