Man City - Quadruple?

Who thinks City are likely to do the quadruple?

City going for a clean sweep is looking a real possibility as each game goes by. Really not sure how I feel about this. Obviously would prefer it didn't happen as once it's done it's done and they will always have that record. But equally I don't want the dippers or Sp*rs to win anything. What is worse, City winning All 4 or them missing out on one or more trophy because say Liverpool win the PL or god forbid Sp*rs go and win the CL?

Hobsons choice really and it's gonna give me sleepless nights.

I don't yet think they have a really good chance.

I'd disagree. 6-0 against us, 7-0 last night in CL and that's with players missing. They have a better chance than anyone has ever had of doing it.

I'm hoping someone else can win the FA Cup or the CL, but right now they are favourites for every competition they are in, and rightly so.

I don't really have any ill feelings towards City so wouldn't be bothered if they won all 4. Would much rather them win all 4 than Liverpool and Spurs win 1 trophy. I do think though they might sacrifice the FA cup so they can focus more on the league and champions league.

It's frightening the rate City keep racking up these huge wins. 6 against us, 7 against Schalke, 6 against Shakhtar and Southampton in the same week, and i'm sure they've had a few 4s and 5s as well.

It's one thing i admire about City is their ruthlessness. Reminds me of us under Ancelotti.

I agree they have a better chance than anyone else, just think with FA Cup, EPL and CL matches coming in quick succession they will fall over somewhere.

They are 50/50 on the EPL, though I think will win it, I think they will take the FA Cup though Wigan last year showed even great teams can fall unexpectedly.

I don't think they will win the CL yet again I wouldn't like to say who would stop them.

They are a good bet for a treble though.

Same. I feel nothing for them at all.

If city win all 4 its just like 'well the rich get rewarded as usual, time to go on with my life nothing I can really do about it'. Not like I'm gonna run in to any of their fans ever, and I don't follow football twitter so its a big ol meh from me.

It's bad for football though and especially if they did win all four. In a way perhaps that is what it takes for FIFA or whoever to take action over FFP.

It would be historical for them and one of the best seasons ever for a club in general.

Not even sure how I feel about it, if it happens well they would deserve respect but I'm not so sold on their players to have that legendary generation status...

No fears at all from the most corrupt team in the world who can essentially outspend everyone and avoid all investigations with bribes?

I think we'll all start having feelings against them as soon as the Premier League starts becoming like the Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

Nobody said they loved City, just that it's worse seeing Liverpool or Spurs winning something.

Putting words in my mouth there, I never once suggested they love City, and I didn't bring up Liverpool.

I would rather City win it than Liverpool, my main point is talking about people who have no qualms with City winning a quadruple.

There's a huge danger of City making this league uncompetitive for years to come.

This was surprising as the man does not say much to the media yet is not hiding his feelings about the prospect of Liverpool winning the league -

“I remember in 2005 (Liverpool) won the Champions League and they’re still talking about it now so it would be another 10 or 15 years of that.”

That is quite an odd dig to make. How often have we had Solskjaer's winning goal against Bayern Munich rammed down our throats in the last few months!

f**k it. I did hold the view that I didn't really want City to win the quadruple so if that meant The Dippers winning the league, so be it.

But after yesterday, the full realization hit me and I can't stand the thought of them winning the PL. We did little to stop them yesterday so what would be great is if City end up winning the PL on goal difference and then we can at least say that our 6-0 defeat turned out to be for a very good cause!!

I agree with you. Liverpool wining the league is a terrible prospect and thankfully I don't think they will. But City wining it now might not be a problem but I also suspect that they will be soon enough be the most hated side as they pretty much clean up everything in a Celtic like manor for years to come.

And on top of that, I can't believe that I am the only person who gets so riled by City playing One Step Beyond every time they beat us up there. It just reinforces my opinion that they're quite a nasty little club with a huge chip on their shoulder. Just look how they still jeer the Champions League music as if they're the only club that Uefa has ever done anything to upset. And finally, living amongst many of them here in Stockport, I'm starting to miss the old days with the smug gobsh*te reds being the top dogs. City fans have this weird humble/patronising thing they do. And because they've been sh*t in recent times they have an attitude of being better more 'real fans' than those of other top sides and that due to their amazing football they pay to watch they are by extension more knowledgeable on football than fans of other clubs.
