Allegri is a better manager, if he wants to come the board should give him a pen and papper to sign already.

I'm at the point now where i'm convinced you're a troll on this forum.

Pulisic on par with Messi and Ronadlo at the same age.

Sign Allegri at all costs.

It's a good barometer on who I should take seriously or not... you know, kind of like the ones that want Costa back... only this would be worse..

I know he's struggled back in Spain and he is a sulky, pain in the arse, but at a decent price i would have him back. He's still only 30, and if we could get him fit and fired up, he would score us goals again.

Assume you are completely unaware of what a flop Costa has been in the two seasons he's been back at Atletico ... ?

He wasn’t a flop for us was he, our 3 strikers last season got an accumulation of 12 goals, it’s abbysmal, to not take costa if he wanted to come back and of course it’s only theoretical would be illogical

Every single one of our "abysmal" strikers has a better league strike rate than Costa this season ...  ?

Wasn't getting the service needed and clearly doesn't want to be at Atletico and misses Chelsea.

Bring him back home to The Bridge and the Guv'nor would start banging 'em in again in no time.

What's wrong with this? Who is better than Allegri that Chelsea has been connected with? Guy has won Serie A with 2 clubs, 4 doubles and after a quick search he also has the record for points per match at Juventus. Frankly, there aren't more than a handful of active managers in the world who are better than him.

It's not me that came up with that first part, but even if it was me, I don't see a problem in seeing Pulisic as the next big player at all, you're a far bigger problem being all bullsh*t and negative and seeking dumb arguments about a player that is 20 years old and that didn't even have a training session for us yet...

And yes if Sarri is going to Juventus, getting Allegri that is a world class manager is a great idea! But I already said that Sarri for me should stay, it's reports saying that he himself is considering to go back to Italy, so I didn't say we should sign Allegri at all costs, only if Sarri goes to Juventus we should take that opportunity.

So much about me trolling, it's more just about stating my opinion and being overall a more positive fan compared to you.

The bloke we currently have. We'll be going back to boring reactive football. If Allegri was so good, why would Juventus let him leave and replace him with our current manager?

I think there are many reasons Allegri would be a great choice for us. He's tactically flexible, he's a players coach, he knows his way around the spotlight and he's a winner.

So we just went through a big year of transition, adapting to 4 at the back and possession style football to go straight back to a guy who's very much like Conte?

Please explain how he is very much like Conte except for being Italian and coaching Juventus

I wouldn't say Allegri is like Conte. From the Juve matches I've watched, he tends to shift formations based on personnel. I think if he gets the management aspect of it right, our players should be more than adequate to adapt as we have one of the most tactically flexible team in the PL, no other team has gone through as many changes as we had and still went on to win something.

If they revert back to a style of play that involves fast counter-attacking with just 25-35% possession, then they will have to be successful with results immediately, with no possession and no results it's a fast exit. If we stick with high possession/territory, and slower build up, but results still don't happen, then at least i feel we are trying to do things right. It's called football not chaseball.

You do realize we had about 55% possession on average under Conte? It was 58% this season so not much of a difference at all.

At our best under Conte we were both excellent in possession, defence and attack. Conte or Allegri's style is not only counter-attacking at all.

Where are you getting those figures from.

53 versus 58.

Conte had two years and Sarri had one, so that looks like progress to me.

I can't find any stats for last season, but on the Premier League site and WhoScored it says our possession was 60%, which is not bad considering Cities possession was 65% on average last season and they dominated the league then.

The only stat I can find for last season in the Premier League is this https://www.express.co.uk/pictures/sport/15900/Premier-League-possession-statistics-2017-18-sportgalleries Which was just over 50% under Conte, seems about right to me but I don't know how factual it is.

I think we just have to acccept this is way Roman likes to run the club, and it's been like that ever since his first year when he sacked the manager who took us to our highest league position for 50 YEARS and the SF of the CL. No other club would think for a second of doing something like that! The writing was on the wall for longterm planning the moment Roman didd that! No planning, logic or simple common sense to running a top club. It''s just roll the dice, sh*t or bust, hire and fire from one year to the next.  They are an absolute shambles, but somehow we keep winning, when we realy shouldn't when being run this way.

Perhaps, but the playing field has now changed drastically.  We can't manage in the same way we have been.

We've burned through most really good coaches.  Some twice...…  Now we are struggling to find people to manage us and are being linked to mid table managers and those with a single year of managing experience.

We have a transfer ban hanging over our heads and may not be able to strengthen.

Our best player wants to go and we have one world class player left on the roster.

City and Liverpool are miles ahead of us and looking to get even better.  Those just below us will all strengthen.
