Will be interesting to see how fast he can get Juve playing Sarri-Ball.  If he goes......

And he's probably going to want to take Jorginho with him but how that is going to work with the ban i am not sure about. We certainly can't afford to loose more midfield depth at this point but i don't think Jorginho will be keen to stay if Sarri leaves.

Agreed.  And there were two different reports in the last week or so that were exactly opposite.  One that said Jorghino would stay no matter what happened with Sarri.  And one that said he'd be open to a move to Juve.

And....…….how long has it been since a manager chose to leave us?

Hiddink, although he'd have stayed first time if offered the role.   Second time i think he wanted to go regardless when the spell ended

Latest news from Italy is that we have agreed to release him from his contract so he can leave for Juve.

Very Real Madrid of us if we are pushing him out.

If he wants to go then is best he goes, do not want players here who do not wish to be here, do not want a manager here who would rather be at another club and does not wish to be here either. So if he would rather manage Juve then thank you Mr Sarri and good luck.

Apparently he wanted us to appeal to CAS and also give their backing. I read that on twitter, so take it with pinch of salt.

The problem i have with this is, why are we refusing to appeal? If we brought in some quality players this summer, next season we can actually do something. If we don't sign anybody and allow Hazard to leave, we will be in trouble.

If we don't make top four next season (which is a very high possibility given the circumstances) then the summer after we may be able to sign players, but who will want to come here without any European football?

all hatas rejoice, it seems you are getting your wish

I don't know anyone that hates him. I wish him all the best at Juventus if he does go there. Although i am not convinced he'll do great there.

But assuming this is true, the man is clearly leaving on his own accord after less than a year at the club. In that case you could ask questions about his commitment in the first place and to be completely honest i think he relatively quickly found out that he likes thing better in Italy and that he's a better manager there.

And much of his downfall was that he never lifted as much as a finger to endear and build himself a relationship with the fans. And that started from long part of the fanbase turned on him and it lasted to the end. Whatever one think there is one think there is no doubt about and that is that we like managers that get involved with the fans, celebrate with them, acknowledge them and make them feel part of everything (Like Conte, Mourinho, Ancelotti etc)

Maybe we are guilty? Maybe Roman does not want to spend big again after how much Jorginho and Kepa cost?

Spurs spent nothing and finished top 4 and have made the CL final. Is a poor excuse whoever is in charge if we cannot make top 4 at least, or it just shows most of this squad should be sent to the scrapheap if we only look decent because of Hazard.

There are only three reasons I can think of for not appealing:

  1. We don't believe we can win
  2. We don't think we'll hear before the window opens, or we don'tthink players we want will be available by the time we hear
  3. We really want Lampard, and want to give him a low pressure/low expectation first year to start to build something

If we are not standing in Sarri's way, then #3 makes some sense.

What I don't understand is why we are so willing to let Juve have him without a fight, after what bastards they were when we wanted to buy Sandro.

We don't have good enough players mate. Take Hazard out and who will score the goals for us? Spurs are different. First of all, they have backed their manager for the past what, 4 seasons? Secondly, they have recruited well and shrewdly while having the fortune of a elite level striker at their disposal. Spurs have a very good side, let's not pretend their side is poor.

Maybe it wasn't Chelsea but Don Antonio that pissed Juve off

Maybe, maybe not. We do not have Kane that is true but in Kepa, Azpi, James, Christensen, Rudiger, Emerson, Kante, RLC, CHO, Ampadu, Mount and Abraham we have some very good players. We just need them to become a very good team.

Perhaps without interim ones, Glenn Hoddle for the England job?

Edit: oops, took the wrong post to quote. It should have been Boston Blue's one about who was the last manager to choose to leave us.

the club might get stick for this.... but it could be that sarri wants to go of his own choice

Possibly.  But didn't Sarri partly dedicate the Europa League trophy to the Napoli fans for not giving them the joy of a trophy?  Now he's going to compete against them?

That's what I was thinking...……...this would be the first time a permanent manager has left on his own accord under Abramovich, no?
