Dele Alli ?

Is Frank trying to get sacked already LOL ?

And £40m !!!!! Surely they could get a package deal on Barkley and RLC for less than that !

Chelsea managers job drives you mad. What other reason could there be to Frank wanting Alli at 40mill to boot and TT driving a Deal for Dembele and wanting Lukaku?

A couple of years ago it seemed he will go from strength to strength.

Astounded by that Deli Ali deal, what is he thinking??, really wanted him to do well there but it looks like our legend is going to get a lot of stick now. As a few have mentioned already what is this obsession with playing two number 10’s together?… total disaster.

I don't know how much of a say Lamps had on Dele Alli, he only just got the job, I bet the best input he had was a yes or no and when you got the job you take anything.

If he can get him playing at his best he is a £40m+ player.

Who will Frank take off of our lot?

Probably that Everton's normal #10 is staring down the barrel of a prison sentence.

So Dele comes in, effectively on a free transfer and he might actual add some creativity sorely lacking from the raft of average wingers that Rafa kept signing.

Free transfer? Thought the deal was worth up to 40mill to Spurs?

Everton don't have to pay anything until he's made 10 appearances for them and then they'll have to pay Spurs £10m.

Huh, interesting way of doing that deal. So is it make 40 appearance and then 40mill total?

I felt Gray was one of the only bright spots in the Rafa tenure. If it weren't for him they would be deeper in the sh*t than they are.

As it's been alluded to above I feel Lampard will want to recreate what he was doing here with Mount/Kai and have Van De Beek and Dele as his two 8s.

You’ve missed the point, I wasn’t referring to him, I was referring to Donny Van Beek who’s best and most natural position is the same as Dele Ali.

Like this formation, which Sky whipped up when discussing the Dele Ali/Van de Beek dilemma, a structure which has no balance whatsoever. 😅

I admit I dozed off in the second half and missed a 20 minutes or so, but Everton only started to play in the last 10 minutes of the match. Also, that Hummel touchline outfit Lampard was wearing is beyond dull. No wonder I fell asleep.

Management won't ever be for him in my opinion, but he should definitely be brought in as a recruitment analyst, or what ever Cech's role was.

His talent ID has been pretty spot on during his 2019-2021 management.

Haaland, Bellingham, Rice, Caicedo

Everytime I watch him talk about the game I scratch my head at how he makes so many basic mistakes in management and coaching.

On paper he should have at absolute worst ended up a competent PL level manager.

Yeah its strange.

On the other hand, he wanted to bring in Rice (who was still a CB with West Ham), Haaland (when he was still at Salzburg), Bellingham (when he was still with Birmingham) and Caicedo (when he was still with Independiente) during his tenure.

Seems he can identify talent rather well as opposed to actually managing a football club.

It is very easy to recommended Haaland, Bellingham, and Rice. Even a fan like me could see their talent (not Caicedo, I have never watched him before Brighton). They are already playing at high level in PL or cl already.

The hard part is to recommend signing player like Palmer and the even harder part is meeting your manager demand.

It's one thing identifying talent, another thing to both man-manage and have tactical nouse. Has much in common with S. Gerrard apart from the talent identifying.
