Traore is just too much for Alonso, a few problems there. Other than that the defence has been a 1000% better.

Also helps not having Zouma back there. That guy inspires no confidence in fans or players around him.

The whole back five have been brilliant today. I think a lot of people forget just how good Alonso can be when he’s played as a LWB, especially with the pace of tomori beside him. It’s been a great half to watch, terrific to see us being lethal with our chances as well.

I think no Kurt Zouma and Rudiger coming back is a major factor though. Kurt has been the fault for most of the goals. 

was not expecting three goals in the first half without conceding. There is still the chance we concede, but definitely MUCH calmer than I was going into this game. 

Willian has been good. 

The scent of our lion Conte is in this game somehow, I'm convinced that this is the only way Alonso should play the game.

Christenson should have been much closer to Jiminez for that header they had at the end. 

What a turnaround.

Abraham has now hit the big time for me.

The formation change has worked well, Kovacic looked great out there running covering and linking up through the middle.

Tomori great bit of inspiration with that shot.

Jorginho not much in the game yet by offering himself takes up two attackers.

Good interplay out there with the wide backs and Dave Basset (link) thinks Mount has a huge future ahead of him.

Well done this half to SFL.

Yes sometimes but it's Alonso's first game too and Traore seems to be in good form today.

I could see rudigier as a future captain and Tomori’s pace and feet are terrific. Of course it’s only half time. 

Tammy is joint top scorer alongside Aguero.

Ive seen milk turn quicker than Alonso, but nobody in this team has a sweeter left foot than he does, great assist for Tammys header.

Mixed for me, working hard yet little end product.

An almost perfect half really. We look solid at the back, and we are taking our chances when we get them. Alonso and Rudiger have slotted in well. It's always harder coming back into a team that has been struggling, but they have done well. The only nit pick complaint I have is our cm's giving the ball away a bit cheaply at times, but other than that, I think we have looked good.

Hopefully we don't come out in the second half and concede in the first 5 minutes.
