Traore is one of the fastest players in the league I believe, he was always going to give Alonso problems on any day, Alonso struggles with fast players but he also seems a bit rusty, that was an awful tackle before halftime.

Last season Sarri did prove that his system works because he got top 4 and Europa League. But...consider this, he would never change his system and this game would have been much harder, but Frankie sees he needs a new plan and he knows he can't play Emerson. Amazing management of the players, he changed the formation, put in Alonso that can play in it, and boom, easy game.

If Tammy doesn’t get his his trick this time I’ll be very disappointed.

I hope Frank sticks with this shape. Put James at RWB when fully fit and shift Dave into the RCB position, alongside Rüdiger and Tomori. Then stick Kante and CHO in there in place of Kovovic and Willian and that’s a good looking side.

It will be interesting to hear Franks post match thoughts for the change, was it due to injuries or because of defensive failings in previous matches.

Question is where would pulisic fit in. At least it would be good competition for place with CHO. Emerson/Alonso, Christensen/Tomori, Mount/RLC, kovacic/jorginho...probably depends on the opposition.

Zouma on for Rudiger? Oh dear, now we'll see if it's truly the formation that's helped. 

Anyone know why Rudiger has gone off? I really hope it's not another injury.
