Was going extremely well until we gave away that first goal.

Willian and Emerson have not been good enough in attack, their end product has cost us in crucial moments.

That’s the trade off with Alonso. He’s better going forward but a liability defensively in this type game.

A real shame because Jorginho and Kovacic were playing superb, but both made individual mistakes.

True but they obviously stand out as both led to goals, which wouldn’t usually be the case. Kepa’s normally would have and would have looked far worse had aguero scored. Also under SFL we do play a riskier game.

Emerson has been bad at both ends.

Azpi to left back, and get James on.

We need to do more when we get forward, just running out of ideas and over hitting crosses.

Kante is being kante.

Individual errors cost us. These are the games that separates title challengers imo. Kova apart from the assist should have blocked Mahrez from having a go inside, Jorginho should have gone long.

Tomori's body language showed to me that he's having a deer in the headlights moment right now.

I could live with Emerson and his poor crosses if he could defend down the other end.

He’s faster than Alonso but that is it IMO, we definitely need to upgrade that position.

Agree with this. It’s a better shape for a game like this. More compact, better defensively, and we really need to shore up the defence!

Mistakes happen let's keep going we are playing the champions of England remember

I'm not completely giving up but I don't think we're going to win this one, we just aren't clinical enough and City are too dangerous on the counter.

I wasn't a fan of buying Chilwell this season but I'm having second thoughts.

Splash the cash on a LB and RW because if we want to win titles, these are the positions that we need consistent performances from right now

Shame to be losing because i think we were fantastic until they got the lucky equaliser.

We are still in this though.

It’s so f**king frustrating that both of their goals have come from our own mistakes.its not even the young guys it was two of our senior players.

Yeah, but they are all doing it. Kepa, Tomori, Zouma, Emerson, they are all fortunate that City didn't score from their mistakes. I'm on edge every time we have the ball in our own half today, we look like giving it away every single time.

Seeing Emerson's defending for that goal again it's woeful.

Yes it was terrible he should not be allowing him to cut in on his left foot like that

They are not even that dangerous tbh, it's the change of pace that kills us. Tomori and Emerson aren't fully focused

I don't think Chilwell is all that great defensively though.

He shouldn't even have to depend on Kova at that moment dont know what he was thinking there

Some people will say it's been a good peformance from us because of the chances we have created and how much of the ball we have had, but because of how awful we have been defensively, I can't praise us. It's like watching Arsenal when they used to play against us. The defensive errors and the amount of times we have given the ball away in our own half has been the poorest it's been all season. The worst thing about it is that City have been mediocre at best and we have just given them the lead. We are commiting football suicide today, you can't win many games playing like this. If City were playing at their best, the score would have been as bad as it was last season.

Agreed. No matter how well you play in attack, defending is part of football and if you can't defend well then it isn't an excuse.

Scott we’ve made City look mediocre because of our play (well in the first 30 mins anyway). Our generally defending has been fine but it’s individual mistake which have cost us. Nothing to do with how we’re playing as a team. Good performance with a couple of poor individual mistakes.

Its all a learning curve though - they’re the champions! We’re competing, be positive !

Who to pull off? Willian or Pulisic?

I wouldn’t put Mount on yet, save him for last 15 mins.

Probably Pusilic, he was injured recently wasn’t he.

The difference between Chilwell and Emerson is night and day IMO.

If we can make a deal happen we should do it, if not look somewhere else.

That position needs to be addressed when our ban is lifted.

We just need a LB that doesn't switch off. Emerson and Alonso are good maybe even great LB when on form but both have a tendency to switch off or not being a presence in the game

True. Kova and Jorgy were the most costly errors but not necessarily the worst.
