I really hate that midfield trio. It is a defensive minded midfield.. I preferred the jorginho mount Barkley midfield against Burnley at home. Playing 3 defensive midfielders is bullsh*t.  It worked last season because we had an attacking maestro in Hazard who commanded double and triple teams. With an attacking trio of Abraham William and odoi I believe we need more help from midfielders.

P.s it won't suprise me if lampard picks this team though

 

 

 

Just the lineup I wanted, I think Frank has got this one right no complaints this time. Obviously James is out.

I think so, not much light on it. Because imo Tomori should be playing over Christensen if he's fully fit, I think he's been superb this season.

I can find nothing to say he is injured

Really poor bench though, not many game changers on there. 

We are playing a home game with only 3 attacking players. I guess lamps wants to play counter attack.

With the way Kante has been playing lately that's not really the case, he's playing very high up the pitch so I'm assuming Kante will be in attack. And Mount needs to sit a few games out I think, he hasn't been doing enough for me. 

Derby night, it's always a special night. Would be fantastic to get 2 wins over Arsenal this season, I really hope Lampard will get the game correctly. We had a poor night against Newcastle last game, we should bounce back and put a good performance to keep our spot at top four, we have to do everything to take 3 points at home.

The only thing that worries me is the defence, we have to improve our defending ability especially at the last minutes, we must stop with these gifts we give to teams.

Let's do it, let's send them home with a loss, COME ON CHELS!!!!

Kante again, He’s only useful against top teams.

1.15 when I heard Reece may be fit.

1.21 when I saw the lineup and he wasn't in it.

Seeing Christensen and emmerson in the line-up just depresses me, I don’t trust either one, why isn’t zouma starting is he recovering from something ?

Very upset Barkley isn't starting. He's bang in form, far more than our other midfielders, and what does Frank do? Drop him against Newcastle and Arsenal. It's poor management in my opinion.

The team isn't being picked on merit. Kante's inclusion and Barkley's omission prove that. I'm very unhappy about it. Hope to be a bit happier after the game. Come on Chelsea.

You are right but Kante is not an attacking player. He should be used defensively to press and recycle the ball but lamps loves him attacking even though that is not his natural habitat. It's a round peg in a square hole.. we really should be investing in an attacking midfielder this window instead of a forward..
