City is expected to be out of CL for 2 seasons. DeBruyne already stated he is waiting for the CAS decision on their appeal before making any desicions about his future. He also said 2 seasons is a long time.

 

So this leads to my question. How would you raid City's squad? Especially older players with no CL glory could be interested to move such as DeBruyne himself.

Would love to have KdB back but it won't happen, after we messed him around back in the day. And we cocked up massively with Aguero 10 years ago.

Well we’d obviously have to get Rob Green out of retirement and get him to actually play.

He's coming into his prime years, it makes sense for him to consider his options

I must confess that when I first saw the title of this thread my response was with a Lancaster Bomber.

Seriously though, a few years ago I would have signed David Silva. I think he's been City's most consistent player for the last few years. I think I'm right in saying that he's going to retire soon.

 

Well, first I would send in bombers to drop leaflets on the citizens warning them to get out while they can because I am going to raid the city of Manchester and I would like to avoid as much death as possible. I'd do that the first day and give everyone about 12 hours to get out. The second day I'd drop bombs to hit any production plants to halt production of goods, roadways in and out of the city etc. and also at this point I am going to send in a company to overtake the airport with artillery and aerial support.  From here, we have surrounded the city and cut off all supply into the city and we are starting to roundup all military age men to ensure that they can't sabotage my mission.

Yes we need someone people love to bash on every turn... Sane is a pretty quick player and probably miles away from his full potential. Is he injuryprone?

Completely agree Scott. Players rebound well from injuries these days and Sane is class. If there’s any sort of exodus from City, we should be all over him.

Not sure any of the City players fit into the clubs thinking now, apart from maybe Foden, all the others have won the prem, so motivation won't be the same, compared to our young hungry squad,  City players will be motivated for champs league, but with the greatest will in the world, we won't be competing for that in the near future, so no thankyou to any of them.
