June 21, 20224 yr This boy has been at Chelsea since the age of 9, finally got his breakout loan, now valued at £45m and he’s potentially being binned off instantly to West Ham of all clubs at a discount to boot. You honestly can’t make it up, this would be an absolute disasterclass
June 21, 20224 yr Would like to see Tuchel asses him first, but some of you are acting like he's the next coming of Messi. Get a grip. He scored 6 goals last season.

I'd definitely be more comfortable if tuchel waits until pre season to sanction the sale. Let's have a look at broja first. But he didn't exactly set the world alight at Southampton last season despite a run of a couple of games where he looked okay. Richarlison is a better player than Broja. We need someone to lead the line consistently, I'd be more comfortable with Havertz and Richarlison next season than Havertz and Broja. Obviously stick in a 65-70m buy back clause though. We've got Gallagher, Colwill and probably sterling integrating into the first team next season. So any rubbish about tuchel not trusting youth is misplaced. Richarlison? f**king hell, how far have our expectations fallen?
June 21, 20224 yr Richarlison is a very good player i'd be happy to have him, but I also don't think Broja should go. That being said, exclude the fact that Broja is a youth player, if we were trying to sign him from Southampton based on last season most people on here would question why he was so poor in the second half of the season and why we'd be willing to pay £30m+ for him. It makes no sense to sell Broja, we desperately need 2 out and out strikers in the squad, look at the mess we were in last season when we let 2 go and only brought in Lukaku. He`s an excellent prospect, has shown in a poor side he can have an impact on the premier league, top level defenders struggled to handle him at times. Letting him go on the cheap is just moronic.
June 21, 20224 yr Chelsea and Tuchel are keen to have a really good look at Armando Broja during pre-season and see if they can offer him an opportunity in the first team [@Matt_Law_DT]. Amid heavy interest from other clubs, would you keep or sell Broja? 🤔 🎧 https://t.co/i2XV4vpu4J pic.twitter.com/hFvy1t53iC — London Is Blue Podcast ⭐️⭐️ (@LondonBluePod) June 21, 2022

If so he is already better for us than Lukaku, Pulisic, Ziyech and Werner.
June 21, 20224 yr Broja doesn’t have a ceiling at present, so direct comparisons are not really going to work, Richarlison is the finished article with multiple negative qualities to his game. Broja although yes early doors, has the physical and technical traits to be successful even in the short term, after watching Lukaku.. imagine Broja actual being able to deal with limited touches, actually dropping deep, connecting plays, growing up in cobham and hungry to prove himself. For the sake of the wage structure, he’s a dream in terms of integration, especially with Lukaku off the books for now; this is the least important position we need to sort out this summer.

June 21, 20224 yr Would like to see him given a chance. We gave a 98 million player a couple of chances last season and look what he did!

No one was offering 30m for trevoh though. I assume if someone came in with that offer, we'd have accepted it. I'm surprised west ham are thinking of paying 30m for Broja. It's a lot of money for a player with 16 league goals in his career

He was starting games (including a sort of final) when it still looked like Kounde was arriving. Personally I feel he'd have still been in the squad purely because it was becoming clear Tuchel didn't have much faith in present day Azpi as a CB. And even if that was true it's still a +1 on Tuchel for going for him (who wasn't on a single fans radar) when he could have asked for a Zappa type last minute plan. 4 minutes ago, bisright1 said: No one was offering 30m for trevoh though. It's a lot of money for a player with 16 league goals in his career West Ham signed Man-City’s former head of recruitment last year, so they are no mugs when it comes to identifying talent. They have recently signed Aguerd, who was also being chased by Newcastle, with Dan Ashworth being their sporting director, the man behind Brighton’s success in the market. They are hoping to ‘play us’ here, rubbing their hands at the thought of poaching Broja and us parading £60m ‘marque’ signing Richarlison in his place 😅🤦♂️ what a comedy. Just looking at the stats now and he played CB in a run of games last season against Arsenal/Liverpool/City, understandable so early in those type of games. The festive run between Leeds and Brighton at home, all of which Trevoh featured in bar one. The run in April time which yes fair enough. The idea Tuchel has a thing against the academy boys doesn't stand up to the remotest bit of scrutiny.

I for one remember several times where I scratched my head seeing Dave still starting at RCB when Trev hardly put a foot wrong. Or the abomination of James at RCB and Dave at RWB. It's a nonsense people saying tuchel doesn't rate youth. We have a system now for how they progress. Gallagher and Colwill I think will be further proof of that. Maybe even sterling.
