His contract expires, summer 2024, so if they don't sell him this summer, what are they going to do. He will go for 60-70m easily.

Only two years left on his deal, happy to wait a year for him to run it down. Still only 22 as well so no rush to get him in ASAP. I've written next season off as a rebuild year anyway. Gives us a season to take a look at Colwill, Gallagher and Broja while getting rid of deadwood ready for the following summers transfer window.
June 20, 20224 yr Will be really annoyed with this if true. Will definitely be a buy back clause at that price, however I reckon he could have impact next season. Surely that means we go for striker also as with Lukaku going the only out and out CF we have is Batshuayi who we know will not be here. Havertz will be our only striker so surely we will buy a striker if true. Edit: forgot Werner also but yeah, I highly doubt we will be going in with Werner as our main n0.9 or back up as he is seen more of a wideman now. Edited June 20, 20224 yr by STATS

Funny how we give them good deals but when we try for their player is 150mill... If the owners are looking to make quick money him and Gallagher are easy sales. Disappointed if he goes.

He is like most coaches at top clubs, prefers proven quality over developing youth. Eg. Billy out Saul in Tammy out Lukaku in Thiago > Christensen > Trevoh He will probably only use Broja if they tell him he has to

Funny thing is, we always get f**ked in those situations, no Rice favours or Rice talk and West Ham deal with Broja totally separate. 😅 That’s how it will go down and we all know it. Broja out, Richarlison in… dear god, dear dear god.

June 20, 20224 yr TT knows the squad by now, I have that down as about 6 outgoings....and all we have coming in is sterling
June 20, 20224 yr A f**king huge No TT, Sell him without assessing him, and i'll be down to cobham to Ninja you up!!

June 21, 20224 yr Broja to the Pikeys ??? No fu**ing way !!! How is it that every Club seems to think that they can now take the utter piss out of Chelsea? This has undoubtedly been caused by the disastrous Lukaku deal and Brady now thinks that she can keep Rice, not even allow any discussions about him, but take one of our best young players, just because we seem to be in turmoil. If Marina is going, then let's make it bloody quick. Boehly needs to get hold of the rudder on the Good Ship Chelsea FC and start steering it away from the rocks.

Fits in with how he seems to operate with us, youth getting no chances but brining in any old sh*te. Letting Broja go at that price would be ridiculous and will just lead to us losing more and more quality young players who will see theres no longer a path into the team. June 21, 20224 yr We've already set the precedent for teams to bid for our best youth products. Doing this would further weaken our position with their heads being turned every summer. Quote West Ham £150million and send them on their way
June 21, 20224 yr Maybe I'm mad but if we get 30m for broja I think that's decent business. Especially if we then go and get richarlison for 50m. I'd definitely be more comfortable if tuchel waits until pre season to sanction the sale. Let's have a look at broja first. But he didn't exactly set the world alight at Southampton last season despite a run of a couple of games where he looked okay. Richarlison is a better player than Broja. We need someone to lead the line consistently, I'd be more comfortable with Havertz and Richarlison next season than Havertz and Broja. Obviously stick in a 65-70m buy back clause though. We've got Gallagher, Colwill and probably sterling integrating into the first team next season. So any rubbish about tuchel not trusting youth is misplaced. Edited June 21, 20224 yr by bisright1

June 21, 20224 yr Realistically Mount and Reece are the only academy players that warrant a start for us. Until someone of that calibre comes through again they aren't going to get the playing time a young player here needs like CHO and RLC. Happy to keep selling these academy player if we're getting £30m a time like him, Tomori and Guehi. The ones that hurt the most are like Livramento leaving so cheap. I hope we don't use the money to buy Richarlison though as i don't see that as an upgrade.
June 21, 20224 yr I actually think Richarlison would be a really good signing. He's a born winner. Need some steel akin to Diego costa and Rudiger. And he gets goals. In a team like ours, where he doesnt need to create and do everything himself, he would thrive. However, we can not be selling Broja, no way. How many times are we going to keep selling our prized academy stars on the cheap. We spent all of last summer selling one after the other, Guehi, Tomori, Livramento and Abraham, just to fund Lukaku who we now had to give back for inter, for 1/10 of the price. All four of them have increased in value and would of done a job for us last season. Not only that but we are getting our pants pulled down by all these teams. Inter sold him to us for £100 yet are giving us a loan fee of £8.5m and then spending £30m+ on a defender. They will be making big money from selling skriniar and a few others this year, yet we get shafted. Surely the 60£ odd million we probably still owe them for lukaku, some of that could be wiped off, but no we still have to pay for that. Our contribution this year alone will probably be more than the loan fee they are giving us probably meaning they arent even paying anything. Then take West Ham. The prices they keep quoting us for rice are a joke. £150m take it or leave it. yet when they wanted Zouma a France international defender who has done wonders for them, £25m. As someone else mentioned, dont expect this to soften any Rice deal. They will expect us to sell cheap and then still mug us off over Rice. They can bid £50m for Broja or get stuffed honestly.
