The mighty Spuds and Jose have been drawn to be playing in the second qualifying round of the Europa League, rubbing shoulders with Linfield, Shamrock Rovers and the like - no wonder he was celebrating wildly at the conclusion of the season.

As Richard says on Pointless... very well done 😂

Interesting article about fans who suffer from colour blindness. I hadn't realised that one in twelve men and one in two hundred women have colour blindness. That is a staggering percentage for men.

A guy I knew many years ago struggled when playing snooker as he found it difficult to differentiate between different coloured balls. I think that red and brown were the most difficult to tell apart.

A keeper for a team I used to play for was colour blind. We had to have 3 or 4 different coloured balls to throw in the air to see which one he could see the best! :laugh2:

Interesting but found the article quite difficult to read to be honest. I know he tries to be frivolous but still completely lacks any logical flow. Odd that he doesn't link a source for the asthma claim. 22/30 odd seems a bit much.

Unfortunately, Alan Moore is a glorified blogger and his credentials are...skeptical to say the least. The paper he mentions he created doesn't even appear to exist and it appears to have been accepted by a pay-to-publish journal, further undermining credibility.

He also has a bee in his bonnet over a cause that doesn't get any traction because it's not very well evidenced and if i'm being frank, he's trying real hard to be relevant. He insists that caffeine is a PED - implying it provides an unfair advantage, like doping - but the supporting evidence is limited to say the least. Caffeine is performance-enhancing, in the same way taking a protein shake or eating well is 'performance-enhancing'.

He even cites Andrea Azzalin as an 'expert on caffeine' with sinister implications, when in fact Azzalin's research is actually about using caffeine almost as a placebo to influence an athlete's rate of percieved exertion. His only evidence is conspiratorial at best. He doesn't even need to resort to that. There's plenty of critique of Klopp's methods given injury crises at both Dortmund and Liverpool, and many in the industry think his methods are not built for long-term success.

He's claiming expertise with perfect hindsight, sort of like the guy at the bar who claims he told everyone to bet on Leicester in 2014.

This whole thing reminds me of when Chelsea were accussed of 'blood doping' Arjen Robben by media based on soundbites and half-truths from people with an agenda.

Everton making a couple of decent additions in James and the lad from Watford, can't wait for them to underwhelm again this season.

I wonder which team has been the bigger disappointment over the last few years, Everton or West Ham both have better squads than the likes of Leicester, Wolves and Burnley who have arguably been better during that period.

Everton having the best transfer window in the league besides Chelsea.

If they add Tomori on loan to their signings I think they could push for a top 6 place.

Liverpool are being very quiet in the window so far. They made no signings last summer, can Klopp keep the momentum going without making any significant signings?

Klopp having a pop at our transfers, saying that they can’t compete because they’re not owned by countries or oligarchs. I still think we’re in profit transfer wise including all the money we made last season. The idiot is really fitting in up there with the victims isn’t he!

Considering we've lost our complete front line (Hazard, Willian, Pedro & Morata) during our ban it's understandable that we've invested in the squad, my guess is if Klopp lost Mane, Salah, Firmino & Origi he would've also had to splash the cash in order to keep competing at the top.

He comes across as an incredibly bitter man

He said some seasons ago that he will never spend much money on players since that's not how he is...2 sec later he splashed on a CB, keeper... It doesn't matter what he says now.

He's a bitter twat. Our net spend is comparable to Liverpool.

He's an idiot. He likes to play the victim to deflect criticism. Once said that he'd quit football if Pool spent over 100m in a summer or something of the like then goes and buys Van Dijk and Alisson for 140m.

He may be a hypocrite yet not an idiot.

For me the mind games have started as we face them in our second league game of the season, he will be desperate to make history with back to back premiership trophies and knows how important it is to get off to a good start. So the digs have started.

It's very hard to defend the title and we will see Klopp using every trick in the book this season. We played well against them last season and now we have a better team so I'm confident that we might have a good chance to ruin his plans.
