That lineup tells us that Frank must feel under pressure and needs to those in the first eleven that are under performing play themselves back into form.

Frank is clearly feeling the pressure if he wanted to put a really strong team out. I’m slightly disappointed there isn’t any new names on the team sheet from the academy. Oh well, come on you blues!

Last time Havertz faced a lower league team he scored a hat trick. Barnsley at home.

A repeat today would be nice.

Strong line up! It’s Mason’s birthday so let’s hope he gets a goal to celebrate.

But then you'll have all the numpties saying perhaps that's his level. 

And I expect I'll be one of them!!

It's really disappointing that the next stream of youngsters are not even on the bench, we've had two perfect games (this one and Krasnador) recently to blood them and haven't done so.

Agreed. Hubris aside, that seems like an unnecessarily strong lineup. Azpilicueta, Ziyech and Mount in particular should have been saved for the league games. A shame that the likes of Livramento and Lawrence didn't even make the squad after training with the first team. Hopefully we'll see Anjorin off the bench.

I can see the logic behind it - we desperately need a morale-boosting win. Hopefully we don't embarrass ourselves!

Werner has a good chance to regain some of his lost confidence. Maybe Mount as well.

Ziyech needs minutes...and Pulisic is fragile and needs to be managed carefully...

Like a few on here am disappointed that 4 of the 5 youth players that were training with the first team are not even on the bench.

Looks as strong a team, if not stronger, as we picked for Spurs in the league cup. Make of that what you will. A few on here wanted a strong line up, you got it. 

I am glad we have big names on today. Let's kickstart the season today. 

Kepa to make his 100th appearance today! 

Only question mark for me, is Mount whose looked a little jaded in recent weeks. He is though the energy in the side, and if his levels have been good in training this week I suppose there is no reason to leave him out.
