TT well pissed off and so he should be. Angry with himself no doubt for putting trust in certain players and then seeing that trust misplaced.

Can't help going through a divorce.

Need to put that behind us and bounce straight back and hopefully TT has learned once and for all, NOT to f**k about with team selection.

He looked a bit broken. Poor bloke.

Tuchel is experiencing the same problems Mourinho, Conte, Lampard and Sarri experienced. Blessed with a ton of talent, but no matter how much talent we bring in, the same motivation issues keep popping up. The only players in the squad that haven't been infected by this this season is Silva and Rudiger, the reason why it doesn't happen to Silva is because he's a winner with a winners mentality. It doesn't matter who he plays, his standards stay as high as ever. This is why he will be my player of the year by far. Every other player in the team has so much to learn from Silva. The guy is 37 years old and has more fight and determination to win than any player we have had at the club since Terry.

The problem even filters through our academy. Mount is probably the only player that consistently puts in the effort. Loftus-Cheek plays too many games like it's a kick about in the park. James has games where he doesn't even sprint, Christensen is weak physically and mentally. Where's the drive? where's the determination and willingness to be the best? I hear James dad say things like he really wants to be Chelsea captain and win the title for us, but he has so much to learn before I would even consider making him captain.

Charity FC is a club problem, it's not a coach problem. You can't coach players to have a winning mentality, they have to find that themselves. Tuchel can shout and scream at the players all he likes, but if they won't listen, then he can't do anything. What will it take for everybody at the club, including the fans, to realise that we have motivation issues at this club? We have had arguably the best coaches in the game manage our club in the past 20 years, but every single one of them is binned off only for the next person to come in, have a good few months, only for those same Chelsea issues pop up again.

Is it that much of a surprise it's hard to get them motivated. The season has 1 game left.

It will take some serious f**k up for us to finish 5th. I couldn't get excited about the game tonight and I just had to sit on my sofa 🤣

You truly don't understand English football and London rivalry. It is inexcusable NOT to be up for a game like tonight. That is exactly what is wrong with this squad of players.

I have been bantered by my family as they are all Arsenal. These players don’t care at all and that’s why I am super pissed off at TT and the players. WE ARE RIVALS. This isn’t West Brom, Southampton or Wolves.

f**k me, that was sh*t from us tonight. A really, I mean really poor Arsenal, and we let that lot get the best of their visit. This is on Tuchel, bad first team and no motivation. Rotation, really? Do you really think that Sunday’s first half performance had any intensity? They rested at least 45 minutes on that semifinal. Sarr over Thiago? Really? Or Christensen who’s in Barcelona already? Lukaku? Really? In a game we have to press and fight? I’m really pissed off getting back from the game. Not worth the effort I’ve made to find a way to get there, really.

Exactly, the effort players put in for London derbies should be 100%.

If they put in 100% and things go wrong then we as fans can accept it.

But I honestly thought tonight’s performance was nearly as spineless as Man Utd’s performance yesterday.

These matches mean a lot to us fans, we have to turn up at work and face gloating Arsenal fans.

All we want is for players to play like it matters to them as well.

I am very worried playing against Arsenal now going forward. This is WHY I hated the Lampard appointment. It all stems from that appointment.

Before the Lampard appointment, Arsenal had a mental block beating us. We were smashing them left, right and centre especially at SB. Now since the Lampard appointment, we have only beaten them TWICE in all competitions. TWICE. And we lost like 6 times to them, including the dreaded FA Cup final. The mental block has shifted, thanks to whatever Lampard did during his tenure.

This game was suppose to slowly stop the rot. But instead made the rot bigger, no thanks to TT. The more we continue to lose to Arsenal, the more it will be harder to beat them.

Just ask Spuds whenever they face us.

Arsenal fans are the easiest to hit back at. To the ones I know I just joked we did it to keep Arteta in a job, by the time I was done with them you'd think they lost 🤣

I don't agree with that. It was beating us twice in the Conte title season that relieved their mental block against us.

Nope, because we went on to beat them again and again after that season, including the Europa League final. The rot started from Lampard.

Was blaming the pitch apparently in his presser?

Yeah when he spoke to the Sir John Pigfaces of the ‘written press’. The ball never bounces in our favour.

Let's hope he's not morphing into Mourinho MKII.

We didn't beat them in 4 attempts (5 if you count CS) in Conte's second season.

Fair enough we did 2/3 under Sarri but 1 of them we were lucky not to concede 5 in 15 minutes.

Actually blame Drogba. It all started when he left. When we played Arsenal then we only needed Drogba and a pitch and the three points were ours. Whenever Arsenal fans used to get leery you just had to show them a photo of Drogba and they would faint.

Point is we didn't start losing to them consistently until Lampard though. The losing rot started from him.

And by the way, first team players need to rest because of the high intensity games they’ve been playing my arse. They’ve played THREE high intensity games in the last month or so, Real Madrid home and away and Southampton. Other than that we hardly beat Newcastle before international break, got thumped by Brentford in a no intensity whatsoever game, and a so so semifinal against Palace when players showed up in the second half. Fair enough, they played their guts in Madrid, but come on, they’re professionals earning millions and they can’t play three intensity games in a row without having a rest? I don’t hold my hopes high that they’ll show up against the spammers on Sunday, making it even more annoying.

I'm not really going to blame Drogba because we were still whooping Arsenal after Drogba. As Argo mentioned, it became a bit wobbly in the Conte-era and then nosedived from Lampard.

The actual technical level of some this squad is what lets us down massively. We wont be competing with City and Liverpool, while we are still regularly rolling out Azpi, Alonso together. For me we need a centre back, 2 full backs/wing backs that can adequately back up James and Chilwell, and a at defensive midfielder that can cover ground and doesnt need his hand holding.

Maybe if we get those things sorted theres enough in that front line options to make a fight of it.

Need this takeover to happen quickly or next season will be more of the same. Good but not good enough in the league.

Arteta was going to keep his job anyway, even if we beat them as long they get in to any kind of European competition.

My dad was saying to me, "Looks like the tables have turned, we rule Stamford Bridge now HAHAHA" and I cannot fecking argue. We have to go back to 2018 to when we last beat them at the Bridge.

whoops it's not 2019, 2018!

No Lukaku should have been hooked off at HT. Period.

He did feck all in the first half and only put in a little more effort in the second.

I have never been so angry since our FA Cup defeat against Leicester last season.

Tonight's performance was poor. and I think that was down to the manager's selection. This is what makes it all the more annoying. You could rest players against easier teams but you are resting players against one of our rivals?

I'm so disappointed. And I think anyone who probably have been seeing my comments at times on this forum about Thomas Tuchel especially when he does rubbish, will agree with me that I normally say that at times TT f**ks with the tactics and the team selection.

As a fan of the team, it is always annoying when it is the manager that doesn't know any better. A manager must know all the time what to do to win football matches. It is a crime for a coach not to know what he should do to win a football match.

Really angry with this match tonight.

Tuchel thought that he has such a good squad that he could afford to splash 100m on Lukaku and that it's going to be so easy, just get some kind of a backup like Sarr and we're done heck send Gilmour to loan somewhere we'll be fine!

Turns out he said multiple times this season how the players are tired and how they are just so tired... Truth is as soon as his first choice wing-backs were out, competing for the title was out of the question, sure the team looked great at the start of the season while everyone was fresh but that's it.

And this Lukaku being the extra tactical option for us doesn't work.

I think some of the blame too should go to the coach and the club, not to the players only. Now that our Midfield today of Kante and Loftus Cheek was weak. Kovacic was injured and Jorginho probably not good enough for the match.

But to me, we need one more top player in that Midfield. The club should have prioritised this for this team in the last transfer windows. We are not creating chances enough for our attackers from our Midfield, how do we expect the attackers to score?

If we had had one quality midfielder come into that game today in that Midfield, we would have created better chances for our attackers and we would probably have been better.

We must prioritise buying a good central midfielder in the summer.

I thought Mount was the answer though, since people here are going on and on about Mount being such quality.

Which is why I said before, Mount isn't consistent. I can't see him nowhere near a KDB, Thiago, Mane quality player. Or until maybe he's like 29 years old. But you can say the same thing to ALL the attackers that we have, and Mount is the best of the average bunch bar Havertz.

We need a huge overhaul. They just won the CL, CWC and SC and think they already done it all. I mean, tonight was absolutely disgusting. City or Liverpool would never put a performance like that.

Maybe, but the trick is to find a way to still wind them up even in a position of weakness.

I call Klopp a "Flopp" to my LFC fan friends every time Liverpool drop points and amazingly they all still get mad about it.
