We did. It was the last game played in front of a full house at the Bridge before the first lockdown. There were rumours at the game and for a couple of weeks beforehand that football would stop or carry on without fans,

Seems strange that it's been a year since with a couple of exceptions that a full house was were allowed in the Bridge. Miss going to the Bridge but more than that miss meeting up with those I go to the games with in the pub before and after the match.

A 4-0 win like the last time we played Everton at the Bridge but as others have said it will be a tough match.

Hopefully we will all be back in August Boyne, just hope all the pre match drinking holes are still around!

Yes, looking forward to it. I guess teams are waiting to see how things progress with covid rates before contacting fans about season tickets and memberships.

Hopefully none of the pubs have closed. I reckon they'll be looking forward to supporters going back in spending loads of money.

Every match we are told is the big test...hold on tho...this really reaaaaly is the big test....everton are a tough team in good spirits and on a massive run with an ex chelsea boss....its the biggest test....

Untill next week of course?

This for me was one of the opponents that led to the downfall of Frank it would be nice to return the 'favour', no hard feelings Carlo  ::HeAdS:::

Bit of a derby game in my house this one, my father in law is an evertonian. I go round his for matches at goodison and he comes round mine for matches at the bridge. I probably wont be on her too much monday night.

This game is normally a must win game for me but there is even more at stake as they are our direct rivals for the top 4 this season

That typo is brilliant!! Quiet night for the wife???

After they beat us earlier in the season looking for revenge in this fixture. This game was the start of our form slide who knows what could have happened had Mendy not made that mistake.

They sealed us out and won 1-0 now its our turn to do the same and hopefully get a couple more to throw down a marker that we are here to challenge every team that stands before us until the end of the season.

The only thing I'm unsure of is who plays through the middle, I would like a pretty similar line up to the liverpool game. Defensively solid, maybe switch Alonso with Chilly B. Keep James in the side and even if Thiago is fit let him recover more.

I’d say let’s hope for a Blue Monday but it doesn’t work with the bastard opposition :JC_doubledown:

Thanks to Brighton and City it really is a must win game now if we harbor ambition of moving up to 3rd or 2nd by the end of the season.

However if our aim is 4th after liverpool lost again it is more a do not lose game.

Nah, we got to beat them. We have a tough couple of games towards the end so need to build up a gap as much as we can. Not just to Everton but also stay close to Leicester and United, hoping they’ll slip up here and there.

So annoying we couldn’t beat United.

If we want to stay with 2nd and 3rd yes we do.

If we aim for 4th then stopping them is enough. Along with City Everton are, on paper, the best team we have left to face in the league.

Yes, well don't forget about the two w**kers also on a run of form that could cast a shadow over the whole top 4 thing and that's Spurs and West Ham, although I do expect WH to drop out of the race with about 5 games to go. If Spurs pick up 3 points today they won't be far behind; I'd rather they be fighting it out with Everton for a Europa League spot that a CL spot.

This is going to be a close call and our defence needs to continue its good work of late.  Overall we have the better side, but it depends which Everton team shows up I think; Richarlison, James and DCL will need to be bang at it if Everton take anything from this game, Werner is getting closer to breaking out in recent games so  I'll go with a 2-1 sneaky win with Werner grabbing both goals..assuming he starts.  I think Havertz will also start and have a decent game. He needs to step up now, he's had his breaking in period... time for him to show us how good he is.

Now Palace fold. After a good midweek an appaling weekend. Seems everything is going against us. Not looking forward to this one, not one bit.

Always nice to have a little help from other teams, but in the end if we want to make it  we have to be beating the likes of Everton. We can't rely on other teams falling over every season like we have the last two seasons!

I said they were a litmus test before we played them at the start of December. We lost and 6 weeks later Frank was gone after being top before that game

I see them the same this time around. They've been a bogey team for us over the last decade or so. It's a big game in a series of big games. A must win or else they'll go ahead of us with their game in hand.

Aside from City by far the best team we have to face. Carlo has got them solid at the back, organized and hard working and a real handful up front.

Would not have said it before the other games vs Atletico and Pool but now I honestly feel they are a more difficult opponent as they wont be as sh*t as those two were, though I expect a very different Atletico to come here.
