April 10, 20224 yr Crazy how pool got away with red card. No way that fabinho tackle did not go to var
April 10, 20224 yr Mahrez bottler it. City should have put them away but still give pool every chance with Cities main goal being the CL on the hard side of the draw.
April 10, 20224 yr Can Liverpool beat any of the top 3 without any help from the refs? Because they only beat us with the referee on their side, and they haven’t been able to beat City and with a big help from Taylor.
April 10, 20224 yr Mahrez playing as if they're 5-0 up. What a tossa. Refereeing was atrocious, Fabinho and Thiago got away with bloody murder today. Takes it out of Liverpool's hands? Edited April 10, 20224 yr by BordeauxBlue Spelling

Takes it out of Liverpool's hands? No their run in is easy. Brighton will be tricker for City next on the league than United or Everton are for Pool. Pools only difficult game on paper is Spurs. Even have Saint Steven's side to give them a hand too. City have most of the scrappy hard working defensive sides. And Watford lol.

April 10, 20224 yr I do wonder how that fabinho tackle did not warrant a side monitor check. High, came with force.

If we hadn't f**ked up against Brentford last week, we would be 9 points off with a game in hand. Get it down to 6 points and it would have at least kept them looking over their shoulder.

You could have made other mor fortunate comparisons, really 😉 I know what you mean, but my point wasn’t really about the supporters in particular. In the broadest sense, City are just very dull. As was originally pointed out, they are still extremely short of song repertoire, but beyond the fans, the club itself is just boring. They’re just so safe and mundane. We of course are the polar opposite. At fault for the war in Ukraine, at fault for bringing foreign mercenaries to English football (that is today what apparently makes the EPL the best league in the world), a constant circus of managers under Bates and Roman, where electric fences met football, the first team to bring on a substitute, the first team to qualify for Europe (but not be allowed to go), the place the Soviets came to play after WWII in front of 100’000 spectators, more celebrity fans than you could shake a stick at (especially at the time when there was only such a thing as A list celebrities). The list could go on and on if I gave it just a few minutes thought. City have Bell, inflatable bananas and a far more dodgy owner than ours, but they have even done that without being remotely interesting.

Not sure what has happened to the fan base with City or it always has been this way. I recall fan violence with the derby when CIty got promoted and a brother of one of the girls at work was from Manchester and had MCFC tattooed on his knuckles so sure they had some working class support, just wondering if the the modern PC image of the club has exiled a lot of traditional fans.

April 12, 20224 yr Bayern out, so looks like a straight forward stroll to the final for Liverpool. God, they are going to win the quadruple aren't they.
