November 7, 20214 yr Played a pretty good game, just happened to be one of those. We should have been 2 goals up via half time, and 3 goals up by the time they had their first go at us. Awful finishings, the post, GK had the game of his life. One time we had to defend, everyone just went to sleep. Tuchel probably took the rotation thing a bit too far, no way Barkley should have started, or at best play 70 minutes. Tuchel didnt pull the trigger when he had the chance, a 25 to 30 minutes of Mount , Pullisic would have killed them off. Instead, by the time they scored, we were just run out of options and energies, they could have stole all 3 at the end. With all due respect to Burnley and their manager, absolutely hate them, just a joyless team to watch, yet they could steal points of you by parking the bus for 89 minutes, and throw log ball to their basketball players in the box and steal a game. We were not clinical and paid for it. Over a long season, this kind of sh1t happens, so not going to for the knee jerk reaction here.

November 7, 20214 yr Disappointing... After all those misses this had 1-1 written all over it. But we have to be aware that these things happen. Liverpool and City both dropped points last week. It's still early in the season and we are top of the league no matter what happens today. Don't forget our attacking options were limited in the past few weeks, fatigue has probably affected some of the players. Luck was definitely not on our side yesterday, but that will probably be compensated in another game. Hopefully Thomas and his staff do some extra work on composure with our attackers. That is our biggest problem right now, and I think in our case, it's more about mental aspect of it than ability. Once we missed a couple of chances the psychological pressure was huge, and our concentration was slowly but steadily declining as the game progressed. We didn't even seem to think about what we do in front of goal.
November 7, 20214 yr I have a bad feeling about the ManUtd match on the 28th. The refs will probably put in a shift for MU that would make Howard Webb proud.
November 7, 20214 yr The refs always put their best effort to f**k us up. It is always on us to put extra shift to denay them. Yesterday they were probablly jerking mad when they saw we can’t score for sh*t. all their decissions are always there to make us a nervous wreck. James was booked for a light push while Tarkowski who should have been sent off for almost breaking Kai at half, was allowed to continue his malicius work.

That is why we have to be smarter, not to fall for any provocations in those situations. We have to react the best way we can so no decision can affect our stability. Cool head is the key for everything.

VAR should have asked the ref to look at that push as it was malicious and really dangerous, not just for Havertz but also the supporters,
November 7, 20214 yr It was Ben Mee wasn't it? I think Tarkowski was who went over to make sure Havertz was okay.

I know. best teams in the world do that. but it's f**king hard if you cumulate all our chances lost in the game, allowed beeing kicked hard all afternoon long with no reprecutions, and team building f**king chineese wall in front of the goal + goalie having a game of the season 1 hour ago, coco said: VAR should have asked the ref to look at that push as it was malicious and really dangerous, not just for Havertz but also the supporters, 1 hour ago, axman2526 said: VAR was Mike Dean. f**king narcisistic c**t 1 hour ago, PloKoon13 said: It was Ben Mee wasn't it? November 7, 20214 yr 5 points would have been good. I was surprised to see Barkely start, and p**** that he missed the best chance. But he played well. Tuchel should have made subs earlier, but there may have been reasons why he didn't, player injuries etc. In the end we won nearly all the games in this run, but that one, did most of it with a fair injury list and are top of the table.

What this system really needs Is a goalscoring inside forward, that or Werner/Callum to evolve into such. Ideally we can find away to make this system work with Lukaku playing. I imagine that is Tuchel's goal.
November 8, 20214 yr Poor finishing and Pope having a blinder all rolled up into November a month when traditionally the team can........! All those corners not a sausage from any of them, we used to have a good goal % from set pieces not anymore? Hopefully Lukaku & Werner come back and start scoring after another annoying international break. Still top so cant grumble too much.
November 9, 20214 yr I watched the game back and aside from the horrible shooting attempts, the way we conceded that goal was terrible. Midfield nonexistent, Jorginho ball watching, RLC caught out of position. The Burnley player had acres of space to deliver the ball. Defence pretty much switched off, Christensen not tracking the runner and Rudiger playing everyone onside.

November can take all that excellent work TT has done and make our defence look as bad as Uniteds.
