Brentford v Chelsea (LC) Wed 22nd Dec 2021 19:45 GMT

Featured Replies

Jude SB, Charlie Webster and George McEachran were all involved in training yesterday and can be involved tonight if the manager chooses. I hope we see Jude or Fiabema lead the line tonight.

Rumours are TT will still use a strongest team to try and get through, Brentford have everyone bar the injured back as options, like Toney who was in isolation.

Commonly expected team tonight:

Kepa

Dave

Mbuyamba

Sarr

James

Jorginho

Vale

Saul

Mount

Jude SB or Fiabema

Pulisic

Incidently on the WAGNH community team vote one fan voted for Sam Kerr to lead the line for us. Not a bad idea.

I think TT needs to just view this as a chance to rest players who are in need of it. If we lose, we lose... So be it.

Throw the youth players into the line up. Give a start to Sarr, Barkley, Saul.

Hope for the best but I think not exhausting the players is important right now.

I believe TT sees this as a chance for a trophy that could spur us on to others. In an ideal world I reckon no youths would play but he has been left with little choice.

Either way we are in for a loss at Villa as they are well rested and should have their covid players all back.

he might play bettinelli, as kepa is more or less our first choice with Mendy going to the ACON soon

Few suggestions of it, WAGNH being one.

If the line up I posted proves correct we are very exposed in the air against them.

If we want a chance to get through it sadly means using Silva, Rudiger and Alonso to give us a chance to defend set pieces and crosses.

Tuchel shouldn't take this game lightly...a domestic trophy is trophy...

Kepa

Dave Silva Rudiger

James Kovacic Barkley Alonso

Ziyech Havertz Mount

Havertz has Covid, Zyiech is injured and likely out, Kova has supposedly been ruled out to keep him for Villa.

I could care less about the result I just hope we don't get any injuries to important players. It makes no sense that the semifinal is a 2 legged affair.

For now. FA scrapping replays for their cup, maybe league cup ones get scrapped too.

Lots of youth.

Simons  is listed as a midfielder, so rather surprising he is in unless he is at right wingback and Dave is in the back 3, otherwise Mbuyamba, Gilchrist or brooking would have made more sense.

Great to see Jude and Harvey start, shame Fiabema is not on the bench.

Should be an interesting match. Throwing the youth team players in at the deep end, there is enough experience to help them out. Not expecting a win but lets see what they can do, massive step up from youth team to playing a cup tie against a premier league side. COYB

I don’t know half of our team. Might be a good chance for some youngsters to showcase. Our academy players have shown they aren’t so be underestimated
