They’d have to be under 21 so they don’t have to be registered as a first team player…

How old are Stamford and Bridget?

Looks like this will go ahead now. If I understand the isolation rules we have a few players who should be available to come back for Villa. Until then we will probably have to use academy players to make up the numbers. I would bring in Mbuyamba, Vale, Musonda, and Soonsup-Bell.

League is beyond us already imo and TT could do with another trophy. This would be nice, though priority should be given to the club world cup, whenever that is played.

So long as Brentford can put forward a team this game goes ahead. No new cases reported at us yet so they may have to dig in to their youth side which I imagine they will be fine to do.

So far we have the following free of injury and covid to use:

Keepers: Mendy, Kepa, Marcus B

Defenders: Dave, Silva, Rudiger, Sarr

Wingbacks: Alonso, James

Midfielders: Jorginho, Kovacic, Saul

Attackers: Mount, Barkley, Pulisic

Injury assessment pending: Kante, Chalobah, Zyiech.

15 to 18 players, including 3 keepers, depending on the injured 3. Kepa may need a players kit lol.

If I was asked to rank in order it goes like this

1. Premier League

2. Champions League

3. FA Cup

4. League Cup

5. Reserve League

6. 5 a side kick about

7. Hacky sack

8. Shove Halfpenny

9. Staying up the longest in the Star Wars marathon

10. Club World Cup

And that only got 10th because COVID has resulted in the cancellation of Goose's poker night.

Don't forget the Nation's League Cup Holders Cup of Bread Winners Tournament Cup, or NLCHCBWTC as it is more commonly known.

I think 1st teamers we can play are Kepa and Sarr. I wonder if Charly Musonda is match fit? Him and Lewis Baker are probably the eldest in reserves. Then fill up the rest of the spots with youngsters.

The club have apparently bought some more youth team players into the squad as the league is continuing. I think we’ll see a heavily youth focused team.

"Those present reportedly include goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe, defender Xavier Mbuyamba, midfielders Lewis Baker and Harvey Vale, and forward Bryan Fiabema. A few lesser known youngsters joining them include Josh Brooking and Alfie Gilchrist (both defenders), Joe Haigh and Xavier Simons (both midfielders), Dion Rankine (wing-back), and Jay Wareham (striker). Highly rated Lewis Hall, just 17, was also there."

According to https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php we have 10 players out for various reasons.

You could make a pretty good 4-2-3-1 team out of them :

Hudson-Odoi - Christensen - Chalobah - Chilwell

                             Jorginho - RLC

                     Ziyech - Havertz - Werner

                               Lukaku

Despite all the selection issues, I hope we take this match seriously and put out the strongest team possible to get through to the SF. Winning silverware is great for the confidence, and it certainly hasn't done Man City any harm in winning 6 of these Cups in the last 8 years ...

So that's Stamford and @loz sulking on the bench. Hopefully they aren't too much of an influence in the dressing room, or we'll have another players revolt before the new year

Sorry @loz to break it to you this way but you’d have found out, the night didn’t get cancelled. Others, mentioning no names ‘cough’ @Santa ‘cough’ were fed up of you coming with a fiver in your pocket and dipping out early so you could scoff all the vol-au-vents and neck all Glenmorangie.

@Valerie was the big winner on the night. She had an unfair advantage, wore a low cut top. I call that cheating. @Liam and his brother were there, brothers mouth still hanging open and hasn’t spoken for 3 days.

On the other hand I think it would be better to postpone football till better days, on the other I would love to see some football. As long as Saul is on the bench.

I've got to be honest and admit I'm not looking forward to the game,so many key players out and with what we have watched the last couple of games I can only see a Brentford win.

Great night, great night! Still can't walk in a straight line for various reasons. Next time Boxing Day, I believe @goose ?

I awoke yesterday feeling pretty good about my chances of breaking into the squad out of necessity, at this point.

By noon, I too, had tested positive 🤣😷

This really is far beyond ridiculous. I'm grateful to have games to watch while I'm stuck at home, but the season is surely f**ked, now.
