December 22, 20214 yr Look like we have enough to win this, but we do need to create a few more chances and actually take a couple LOL
December 22, 20214 yr Lots of possession and creating virtually nothing, they’re definitely learning from the first team.
December 22, 20214 yr All of the ball, barely created a decent chance, becoming the story of our season. Youngsters look the most adventurous. Edited December 22, 20214 yr by Scott Harris
December 22, 20214 yr Well its pretty much Kovacic and Kepa against Brentford, they should be ahead but we are not that bad. the youngsters are doing alright, better than Barkley and Saul. Edited December 22, 20214 yr by DidierDrogbalala
December 22, 20214 yr Good half from a scratch side Vale shown enough to be in the proper match day squad Kepa looks to be rehabilitated Rico Henry is quick …could he be a good backup to Chilwell?
December 22, 20214 yr Barkley with too teenagers and he looks the one that is green. One decent pass all game. If we are looking to win the game he should get hooked.

December 22, 20214 yr At least tonight we are seeing what happens if Liverpool have as many first team players out as we have had to manage with ....

December 22, 20214 yr Very slow from us. Even the youngsters who I would expect to be working hard to impress, are just jogging around.
December 22, 20214 yr There are surely few worse sights in football than Ross Barkley given a few seconds to think about what he's going to do with the ball... My house is freezing at the moment so I was struggling to immerse myself in the game for the first 15-20 minutes, but a couple of Glen Scotias later I feel much warmer. That was good fun. All three of the debutants look good, both in keeping it boring and accelerating the play when required. In addition, Vale and Soonsup-Bell clearly have a pre-existing understanding of each other which we are using to our benefit. Kepa has made a couple of half-decent saves, Kovačić doesn't appear to have suffered any ill effects of his injury or the virus, and Alonso has had quality moments. We are very much in control (which is impressive given the makeshift nature of the lineup); there's no reason to think we can't go to win the match. P.S. Good to see that with a particularly virulent strain of COVID bringing the country to its knees and with about four-and-a-half fit first team players the FA have their priorities right - better make sure we play the League Cup quarter-finals! December 22, 20214 yr We must be one of the most boring teams to watch going forward, generally slow, pedestrian at times with absolutely no penetration and then lose the ball...awful to watch regardless whether we have the kids playing or not. We are predictable and easy to play against especially against teams that play a low block and play for the break out. Given our current status with injuries etc I guess going out of this cup won't be the worst idea...but there again a trophy is a trophy and its not like the final is next week.
December 22, 20214 yr I think a couple of changes up front and we have this one in hand. The young lads being beaten physically at the moment.
December 22, 20214 yr If we are in the game later I expect TT looks to bring on James, Mount and rudiger for the 3 youth players, especially if we are heading for pens.
December 22, 20214 yr Just now, evissy said: Pulisic and Jorginho coming on. Probably for Soonsup and Barkldinho. If so then I would expect is Kova (45 minutes only) and Vale since he was booked.
