Agree but we haven't had that since Fabregas left, Jorghino isn't that type of player and sits too deep to offer any attacking momentum...sideways, backwards with the odd occasional forward pass.

Since we lost Chilwell we have been incredibly bad at actually getting the ball behind the opposition midfield without the reciving player having his back to goal. You can see why Tuchel keeps experimenting with Pulisic and (to a lesser extent) Hudson-Odoi at left wing-back.

Alonso seems to have lost a [further] yard of pace which is preventing him from actually driving towards the box in possession before the full-back (or midfielder) can get between him and the goal, and James can't be the sole provider of our attacking thrust. I also think the temporary experiment of moving James inside has taken away some of his attacking momentum from earlier in the season, when he looked like he was kicking onto a world-class standard of football.

He has been poor for a while now. Surely at some point he might have to drop him for Azpi till he sorts his legs/head out.
