So Lukaku is a bit of a Bawbag...

Although I agree with your sentiment, I think you're dining out on this one a bit long.

There was no hard evidence, prior to his signing, that Lukaku would be such a mess. Social media commentary is not evidence. What actual vetting process would have a club, or anyone for that matter, do?

Beg to differ. Anybody that watched him regularly enough would have seen that Lukaku was really no different, and with the style of football we were playing, it could only go one way. Forget the severe flaws in his game that have existed since the early days of his career (choking in big games and his awful touch being the biggest ones) it was clear as day that he was the wrong fit for the type of football we play. The only other player I have ever been so sure about flopping was Bakayoko.

Juventus fans organized a protest outside the club's medical center chanting "we don't want Lukaku"...

@Argoman you let us down, where was our protest 2 years ago?

🤣

Looks like we’re stuck with him 🤦‍♂️

Just can’t see his ego accepting a Saudi move and now the Inter bridges have been burnt, too much rides on Juve. It’s looking like mission impossible.

If he was smart, he'd put his tail between his legs, bow his head and go to the Saudi league. All these stories leaking are an embarrassment and he can probably avoid further embarrassment by heading off to Saudi and escaping the Western media. Unfortunately, he has too big of an ego and will continue fighting for Juventus.

I genuinely would have took Morata back in that early period of 2021 if it meant getting shot of Rom.

Honestly I'm more angry at the club about this situation than I am with him, he's a dick but we decided to sign him despite already having an in house example of his inflated ego and lack of character, any vetting process worth its salt would have ended with us steering miles clear.

It was bad enough some supporters not doing their due diligence but for the club to allow such an oversight was unforgivable. It was that signing that made me realise we were never challenging City again under the Roman/Marina regime.

Moratta started well at Chelsea and then lost his way a bit.  But he tried - at least initially.

Did we really pay 100 million quid for Rom Lukaku?  That has to be the worst signing of all time.

At this point, have to agree worse signing in clubs history. Just not someone you want around the dressing room or club.

From a physical and technical standing Morata had everything in his locker to be a top top forward but unfortunately he was too fragile mentally to give any form of consistency.

I remember a game against Palace I think when Morata scored twice, had a really good game and with the game already won missed the chance for the hattrick, I said in semi jest to my friend that I hope this doesn't ruin him for another extended period but it actually appeared to as i don't think he scored a league goal for us again after that.

I Agree with these Inter fans.

@Mod I really don't see why we can't have the same media contacts as the Inter Curva Nord Ultras. Please can you phone Romano today and issue the following formal statement regarding Lukaku on behalf of The Shed End Forum Ultras:

"f**k off you fat twat".

I’d like to request ‘There’s only room for one fat test and that’s Munkworth.’

Saudi league is the only place for Rom now. Only place willing to pay for his food bill. Ronaldo's latest words on Saudi league and his influence is just the right kind of environment for a fake manboy.

The full text of the Inter tifosi statement:

Addio infame".

My rough translation:

"If someone cheats on you they will do it again, not because they enjoy it but because it's in their nature. Yes, because you Romelu betrayed us, we who defended you to the hilt during your tough times. We defended you when the fans of the team that sought you out mocked you, now you repay us with a stabbing worthy of Brutus. You kissed that coat of arms that is worth more than our lives to us. And now like a vile cheap mercenary you sell yourself to the highest bidder. You have to be a man before you're a champion. And you are not. Goodbye villain".

What type of football we play? Lukaku would have been tailor made for the type of goal Havertz scored against City to win us the CL. Isolated 1 on 1 with a defender running a channel. If we continued like that he'd have been a good fit.

To be fair we only face City twice in the league per season. We never get the space we have against them against most opponents in a league season. In the Prem you can't be a one trick pony.

I feel Nkunku could be a key to us playing football that is not one dimensional and brings us results. The worry is do we have a striker that finishes those chances. ATM the pressure is on 2 young boys in Jackson and Broja.

Anyway the big problem with Lukaku is not his footballing ability. That ability made us pay 100m and at that moment if there was another team gunning for him it would have been 80-100m anyway. His problem as with many footballers is his head. He is a selfish child in a big man's body.

Get Lukaku 1 on 1 with a defender and play the ball to the side for him to roll them, would have worked fine. Instead we tried to use him as a hold up and link up player which was never going to work. We tried to use him as a Kane when we should have used him like City has with Haaland.City are proof it can work.

Lukaku will never get the chance at a big club again i don't believe and i truly hope he has a miserable rest of his playing career and lives his life in regret having won nothing meaningful.

The hold up play, playing with his back to goal, needing to work in tight spaces to help open teams up so he can play a ball through a defence. Lukaku can't do any of this.

Also, that chance Havertz had wouldn't have been tailor made for Lukaku because he wouldn't have scored it. The guy is a serial bottler. Mount would have played the pass and Lukaku's touch would have been so heavy that Ederson would have read it and cleared it.

Fat test? Is that like the Homer Simpson push the belly and see how one it jiggles for?

Haaland doesn't do any of that and City have accommodated him fine and won a treble. We shouldn't have made him a target man as we didn't need one, our problem was how slow we moved the ball up the pitch.

I hate Lukaku as much as the next man but we as a club f**ked it up just as much.

That is because Haaland is 10 times the player Lukaku is. I agree that the club f**ked up though, there was never a worse time to sign Lukaku. It was bad fit for player and club.

Maybe on the ball we could have by hook or by crook found a way but his non existent actions off the ball meant he was never going to work in TTs system (at its best), or any for that matter, to have the type of workrate excemptions he wanted/was giving himself he had to either score almost every game or offer a similar level of substance in general play to Eden Hazard, he did neither.

As for Haaland, unlike Lukaku he was a) scoring enough to make up for what he was taking out and b) willing to meet Pep half way (his complete performance at home to Arsenal the main case in point).

Honesty will get you nowhere. You know that.

I can’t read / listen / watch anything to do with him, some defend him 🤔 I like others saw him for what he was/ is even before we re signed him. He’s just a complete f**king c**t. He’s dissed the club and the fans. And to me it beggars belief how anyone who has anything to do with Chelsea can defend him. Just my opinion though. Will be so glad when he f**ks off and he’s out of anything to do with our club.
