He just needs to be an option out of defence. He needs to be an out ball, but he's leaving the midfield outnumbered.

He's always almost there, but he somehow manages to f**k it up every time.

Apart from that though......

I think Liverpool were the more dominant. We had a few chances to score, but we never put them away the usual.

 

Important to start the second half better than how we started the match, don't allow so much space since Chalobah is still lacking in experience and Diaz will get his perfect run pretty much every time.

I would love to see Mount more involved, when he's the one organizing the attack we have a higher chance of scoring. James should try to get involved more too.

Need to sort the midfield at HT...Mount needs to get in the game more but to be fair we seem to spending more time attacking down the left side so with Mount on the other side it's difficult.  Pulisic not doing enough for me when he does get the ball, the final pass is slow and awkward.  Maybe move Mount to where Pulisic is and closer to Lukaku and bring RLC on to take up where Mount was playing to drive forward.  Kante or Saul for Jorghino. 

I thought we were dead and buried after 15mins but the lads have pulled themselves right back into to this game.

Have to take even half chances against Liverpool. Think that is our chance blown to win the cup as our front 3 are totally awful today and the potential replacements would somehow be worse...

That and Jota and Mane have not got their customary goals yet.

Tuchel I think chose to play in yellow, noticed when Lukaku went for the ball in the box you could see clear as day that VVD was holding him back, not sure you would have spotted that if we had been wearing blue.

Yes but when all things are taken in count we can at the very least play the long ball when no other options are there. He does take the central area and A.Arnold/Robertson can get exposed.

Can I just say that we’ve not been very good and our support has been on and off? I have great views of the game but I miss the energy of the supporters. We absolutely got them under the chels in the tube.

I am confused with all this talk about Lukaku, Lukaku. I don't give a f with Lukaku. We need Lukaku because we need somebody who can handle long ball by himself. If you think timo is this guy, then I can't help u. 

Rather than worrying about Lukaku, we need to worry about our struggle to get the ball forward. Kova is a big concern, he does not look fit at all and chalobah struggle to defend runner

Btw after 10/20 min we have settled down and we have been better. We are playing pool not some crappy team.

The tactical sub for that is Kante for Kovacic. Otherwise we are left too open.

I reckon Kante will come on for Kova at some point. Question marks over his fitness too though. If Mount doesn't get into the game maybe Ziyech or RLC will get a run out.
