Toney, Sesko, Boniface, Guirassy, these may well be the players we are shopping for now. Even Gyokeres may be too expensive for us now. Toney was invisible against us and we're on track to concede 60 goals this season so by not even scoring against us he kind of showed me he's sh*t, no offense but even Luka Jovic at some point scored against us... Furthermore, ahead of the Liverpool:Atalanta match they showed a lot of clips of Gyokeres super-.struggling against the CB of Atalanta Hien, that's a Serie A defender from Sweden, if that guy is too expensive it's freaking good for us cause he just has a great manager just like a lot of other feeder clubs like Sporting usually have. All I'm saying is that if we sign average players we will be an average club, that's the one end result. Osimhen has the potential to be a massive hit in the PL so that would be us actually trying to make something happen, something other than mediocrity. Otherwise, Jackson, or Jackson the second or the third, you call them whatever you like, it's all more of the same.

Currently the elite Iship has already sailed. We are not a big club at this time, we can't even offer top dollar. Why would any elite player join a bang average mid table side, no European football and a bonkers set up. Osimhen will have his pick of a number of CL clubs to go to. We are going to have to get used to it, we are shopping at Aldi's for a while yet. Sesko might be a shout but I think we'll need two strikers for rotation. I'd like Boniface but again, probably out if our league currently.

Whilst I don't doubt the underlying reasoning, the impression I got is its all about the money. Not surprised he'll likely go to where the best financial deal is for him and his family

May 4, 20242 yr His value is only decreasing with his form which is good thing for potential suitors. Has been off it for a while and seems his own fans are criticizing him too. Will be interesting to see how much Brentford squeeze out of interested clubs for him.
May 6, 20242 yr 4 goals this season? We'll sling them £10m for him. Would be a half decent backup for Wacko.

May 19, 20242 yr I might sound crazy, but this signing just got more appealing to me. Brentford might be willing to let him go for a far cheaper fee, I still think he's a good pedigree signing, better than Jackson and can score the goals. He's not perfect, but it's better than paying silly money overseas on hit or miss strikers. I think the best method to use right now is to sign a proper EPL forward who can score goals and have him rotate with Jackson.

Chelsea should have signed him 2 years ago, but they preferred to waste money on Auba, then struggled through with Havertz, and now a raw Jackson.
June 10, 20242 yr I'm probably in the minority but I really can't stand this guy. He tried to act hard in one of the interviews I saw him do and all I can think about is how badly he'd would have pissed himself if he ever came across Costa in the corridor at Cobham.

Although you could argue in hindsight that if we did sign him, we would have been worse off as he would have been banned for most of the last 24 months.
July 24, 20241 yr Heard on the radio this morning that Brentford are willing to let Toney go for cut price £50m. No doubt the exception is if Chelsea enquire and then it will be a minimum of £100m!!

July 24, 20241 yr Brentford have priced him out of a move by thinking they can get £100m for a 28 year old.
August 13, 20241 yr Still doesn't seem to be any concrete interest from anyone for Toney ... is he a better option for us than Osimhen I wonder ?
