Nope.. worth 1/2 that price even with the English premium. There is a reason there is no foreign interest.

Manager doesn't want to lose ST 😱😱😱

Not surprising.

They are in huge danger of losing their PL status after their recent slide, and with Mbeumo out injured. If they sell him, it will be in the summer.

We could always take a punt on Robert Firmino, who wants out of Saudi Arabia apparently ...

Agree, they will sell him in the summer not because they want to but they kinda have to.

No team is crazy enough to sell their ST in pl unless they have to. They are so hard to find.

The reason there's no foreign interest is that very few teams could afford him.

Personally feel if he was a dead cert they will come up with a deal. Madrid don’t have a quality no 9 and if there was one that guaranteed 20 league goals out they will pay up. Even PSG paid a combined €155m last summer for Muani & Ramos in search of the holy grail.

If we had £100m lying around, I’d rather throw that money at Isak. Newcastle need to sell one of Botman, Isak or Guimaraes to generate a big sale and balance their books. I want to see Toney move this Jan just to test my theory that he will be a dud at a big club.

Id take firmino any day of the week.. Experienced and has won things before

Hes the last "striker" we should be considering, we've plenty of back to goal forwards already, we need an out and out 9 who just wants to goal hang and score goals.

Toney is very ordinary and not worth the money imho.

IF we want to waste 100 million quid on a striker i think we are obligated to buy a player off of Brighton first.

What about that Guirassy chap from Stuttgart who has suddenly turned into a goal machine at the age of 27? His release clause is only £15m, so if he's sh*t we can bin him off in the summer and get our money back.

My first thought when I looked at the clips was that he reminded me a bit of Kalou. Then I thought, what the hell am I thinking of, Kalou would walk into this team and be a baller.

Wages is a deterrent. He is on about €30k/w, and wants it bumped up to €100k/w.

Madness if £86k pw is out of bounds for a starting centre forward when our reserve left back is on £165k pw.

Would certainly be worth a go, if we could get him at that price.

Sell Broja for £35m + £5m and buy this one season wonder from Stuttgart for £15m. Could be smart business, could be terrible. I've no idea, but he's in red hot form and Broja looks poor. I'd probably push the button on it.

Guirassy looks decent in videos. Strong but also some finesse to his play and good movement. 13 of his league goals came in the first 7 games, but even 4 from 10 since then is almost 1 in 2 which is very respectable. I suspect there would be a bit of competition for his signature should he leave this January, so that may push the price up.

It’s a release clause so there is nothing his club can do. My issue with the €100k/w wages he is after is if he flops you are stuck with a 28yr old player you can’t move on. I guess you can give him a 3yr deal with an option of a 4th, so you can release/sell for any fee in his 3rd year if it doesn’t work out.

My worry is we’d be buying another striker just on one hot streak.  I’m happy to wait until summer when hopefully better options are available.  Although I’m for a short term Benzema loan if that’s viable.

Too expensive and a deeply unpleasant person. Somewhat like myself.

Some of our players could do with a bit of shake up they all seem too comfortable for my liking and if he puts the ball in the net on the regular then is fine by me.   You never know if the players hate him so much they could all throw an end of season BBQ party Poch style when he leaves, it may even help team morale going into next season?

Convicted of extorting a French teammate and friend over a sex video of the teammate. You really want that in the dressing room?
