They are in huge danger of losing their PL status after their recent slide, and with Mbeumo out injured. If they sell him, it will be in the summer. Agree, they will sell him in the summer not because they want to but they kinda have to. No team is crazy enough to sell their ST in pl unless they have to. They are so hard to find. January 5, 20242 yr If we want to penetrate a defence we'd be better off signing his cousin - Ivan Ardon.

Madrid don’t have a quality no 9 and if there was one that guaranteed 20 league goals out they will pay up. Even PSG paid a combined €155m last summer for Muani & Ramos in search of the holy grail. If we had £100m lying around, I’d rather throw that money at Isak. Newcastle need to sell one of Botman, Isak or Guimaraes to generate a big sale and balance their books. I want to see Toney move this Jan just to test my theory that he will be a dud at a big club.

Experienced and has won things before

January 15, 20242 yr Toney is very ordinary and not worth the money imho. IF we want to waste 100 million quid on a striker i think we are obligated to buy a player off of Brighton first. Evan. Ferguson.
January 15, 20242 yr What about that Guirassy chap from Stuttgart who has suddenly turned into a goal machine at the age of 27? His release clause is only £15m, so if he's sh*t we can bin him off in the summer and get our money back.

Then I thought, what the hell am I thinking of, Kalou would walk into this team and be a baller.

January 17, 20242 yr Sell Broja for £35m + £5m and buy this one season wonder from Stuttgart for £15m. Could be smart business, could be terrible. I've no idea, but he's in red hot form and Broja looks poor. I'd probably push the button on it.

Strong but also some finesse to his play and good movement. 13 of his league goals came in the first 7 games, but even 4 from 10 since then is almost 1 in 2 which is very respectable. I suspect there would be a bit of competition for his signature should he leave this January, so that may push the price up.

My issue with the €100k/w wages he is after is if he flops you are stuck with a 28yr old player you can’t move on. I guess you can give him a 3yr deal with an option of a 4th, so you can release/sell for any fee in his 3rd year if it doesn’t work out.

I’m happy to wait until summer when hopefully better options are available. Although I’m for a short term Benzema loan if that’s viable.

Some of our players could do with a bit of shake up they all seem too comfortable for my liking and if he puts the ball in the net on the regular then is fine by me. You never know if the players hate him so much they could all throw an end of season BBQ party Poch style when he leaves, it may even help team morale going into next season?

Convicted of extorting a French teammate and friend over a sex video of the teammate. You really want that in the dressing room?
