Our other option was Nkunku, who has proven to be worse.Off with the defamation again, first one to cry when you rightfully get told you're being a c**t though.
July 30, 2025Jul 30 Well Bayern just signed Diaz from Liverpool for £65m ... so that's one less potential destination for Nkunku LOL.He'll be another one staying or going on a loan with us paying half his wages ...

I'm sure someone will be throwing in a £70m bid any day now...
July 30, 2025Jul 30 The way Jim speaks I’m surprised there isn’t a queue other than Bayern who are twiddling their thumbs. Funniest part is that we haven’t even openly said Jackson is for sale and HE has more interest. 😂

Nkunku would have been perfect for them
July 30, 2025Jul 30 I feel for him because we never actually got to see the player we purchased in Chelsea blue. Pre-agreement transfer and he goes and does his knee badly leading up to the World Cup.I just don't think he suits the intensity of PL football. He can't press and only ever shows any sort of eagerness when the ball is near him. He moves around like he's Hazard or Messi but with a fraction of the actual ability. Too fat and slow to play up top, and his touch, technical ability or eye for a key pass are too limited for him to play behind the striker.Xavi Simons seems like the profile the club and Maresca hoped Walkunku could be. Much better in tight spaces, much more press resistant, works like a dog off the ball, elite technician, superior athletically and positionally versatile.Pretty sure Nkunku's name alone carries enough clout to return back ~£45 million and I do that in a heartbeat.

August 2, 2025Aug 2 Seems to be zero interest in this guy. Probably wage issues I would imagine. He is going to be hard to shift.
August 2, 2025Aug 2 There will be interest, just not for what we’re willing to shift him for. If we made him available for £20-25m I imagine he’d be sold tomorrow.

Slower league, and Inter play a system that utilizes supporting strikers. £35-40m will do it. Would make marginal profit too.

This isnt open to argument. It simply hasnt happened. He has shown he is an elite player and finisher when a team is set up to get the best out of him.A better argument would be that Nkunku has never shown sufficient desire, heart or fight (or perhaps quality) for Chelsea to justify building a team around him. I would agree with that. He hasnt. Which is why he will likely be sold. But it doesnt change the fact that he was never really given a chance to do well due to the set up and style. All true, and I think you'd agree that Jacko suffered in much the same way ?

August 2, 2025Aug 2 Nkunku leaving is about as big a loss as Jimmy Saville's death was to Great Ormond Street. If an uber has been called to get him to the airport I hope it arrives late, otherwise Nkunku will probably get left behind. Some might argue his injury finished him as a top flight player. I'd argue his attitude finished him just as much. A lazy player with a similar capacity to graft as a French truck driver. I have little time for Jackson as a footballer and want him sold but I'd rather keep him than Nkunku.

August 3, 2025Aug 3 Why do I feel he will be here come 2 September. It does seem Maresca likes him and he’s not exactly forcing a move away.
August 3, 2025Aug 3 Far from Maresca's biggest fan and his way of playing, but I heavily dislike 'system' players like this, he can only play well in a certain type of system? Surely top players can be versatile enough to perform no? And Chelsea isn't the club for players like that given how many times we change managers. It's why I never liked the idea of getting Havertz when we did. Nkunku's performances have been sh*te, not sure if he's just massively overrated or has a bad attitude. Either way, one of which is a good idea to get rid of him. Not bothered about him going at all, injury prone, lack of effort, hasn't really done anything since being here.
