Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea

Featured Replies

Maresca has said recently that he sees Nkunku as part of the squad due to his improved performances of late(!) and that coupled with what appears to be only mild interest suggests unless we have a last day flurry of activity around him hes gonna be one of those names always on the matchday squad list who never starts and rarely gets on and if he does then his contribution is almost zero. I suppose he could be touted as a useful striker option in a very sparse market, 50 million anyone? ((newcastle 😂)

What Maresca say is absolutely irrelevant. He is not in charge of the squad.

The noticeable absences from the squad just published are

Dissasi, Chillwell, Veiga, Sterling, Gilchrist, Carney, Broja and DD Fofana

So that's currently 8 but I wouldn’t surprise me if Veiga is re intergrated

Then on the published list currently their are 28 players I can’t but help feel that two -four others will also leave and maybe two others still coming in

Was hoping activity in the thread meant this useless flop had been sold. 😂

It just means you can skip at least 2 pages of drivel

Leipzig aren’t considering Christopher Nkunku as part of the deal for Xavi Simons. Nkunku no longer fits into their salary structure as he earns €20m per year.

Simons to Chelsea is still absolutely possible if they meet the €70m demand.

[@BILD]

Suspect they are struggling to offload Nkunku.

We have three players we are struggling to offload because they are essentially being paid too much money.

Chilwell ; Nkunku ; Sterling

No easy answers for any of those three ...

20M is 400K per week.

What world do Bild live in? Salah is the only player in the PL at 20M per year. Nkunku is not on Salah wages in a million year.

Capology has Nkunku at 190K per month, the same as Werner at Leipzig.

German outlets always have this complex of inferiority and inflate numbers when it comes to English clubs. Especially now they are incredibly frustrated that the best Bundesliga players do not choose Bayern anymore and go to the Premier League. Wirtz especially was a "dissappointment" for all the German media as he was the golden boy and expected to join Bayern, instead he weakened the league by "choosing the PL money". Frustrated bunch.

That's per week. In as much as you can trust Capology. Other sources suggest the same, some even more.

Same source ... and not a massive difference between what he is on now, and what they were paying him before he signed for us ... usual Capology caveats etc etc :-)

Loans where we are paying a % of their wages. But they have to go. They cannot stay.

Propaganda. No way is Nkunku on €20M

Looks to me like Bayern and Inter are using Nkunku to help with their attempts to sign woltemade and Lookman respectively.

Nkunku, Sterling and Chilwell.if they go they go on late loans where we still pay a portion of their wages, is my expectation.

Certainly true for Chilly and Sterling, I think we might be able to get Nknunku out on a permanent deal. with Nkunku there is still Hope.

Jim will wear you down about Jackson until you’re in a straitjacket and UkraineBolt will die on a hill saying the sky is green when it’s clearly blue.

Both arguing in a thread will make you contemplate life.

I’m contemplating death to be fair.

Nkunku's wages are reported to be £190k p/w. A lot of clubs are going to have a problem with that and it doesn't make him such an attractive option. He may have to take wage cut and let's be honest, who does that these days.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we are stuck with him and Jackson. We may be able loan Nkunku but Jackson may have to be reintegrate. (I'd quite like like that if only to see the steam bursting out of Jim's ears.)

Bayern have some of the highest wages in world football.

It's no problem in my opinion.
