Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea

Haaland or Gvardiol

City have a pretty good track record over there. KDB, like you say, Sane, Akanji etc.

Conveniently forgotten about Haaland, I’d ended up fixated in my head on Havertz, Werner & Marin. Just crossing everything Wirtz follows their lead.

I think he'll be similar to Nkunku. Some good moments but not going to handle the intensity of the Premier league.

Out of curiosity, and not just a Chelsea thing but who was the last ‘BIG’ signing to come from the Bundesliga and actually succeed in the Prem? KDB?

I don't know about every single club in the prem but most that come from Bundesliga to the top teams in prem usually do well actually. Konate, Van De Ven, Akanji, Sane, Thiago, Szoboszlai, Aubameyang, Son, Gundogan, Firmino

It's just us that picks the wrong ones.

Werner and Havertz were terrible….

….not like they won us the champions league.

There's something in that. It would also be interesting to see an overall breakdown of successful defender BL imports as against successful attacker BL imports.

Pulisic was good before his hamstring tear.

He could be, he could also be poor. Running in a straight line was his forte. Lacked finesse, deception, trickery.

The biggest difference with our signings from Germany and everybody elses is that we bought them and played them in roles that didn't suit them. A lot of players from Germany are players that are more suited to a specific system, and once they move away from that, they are either terrible, or not as effective as they once were.

I remember in the 2nd half of the 2019/20 season under Lampard, particularly during lockdown where he was unplayable. Almost Hazard esq.

Don’t think it will be that interesting.

Defending is easier than attacking so you will get more of those players being successful regardless of which league they come from.

Only exception may be France where there is more focus on technical ability and individual play in the youth set up but even then that’s a stretch.

Easier to an extent - but I would argue that becoming an elite defender is just as hard. You dont see many John Terry's in this world.

I enjoyed seeing him at the CWC, although my blue tinted glasses were considerably more favorable on his performances than what I read in the match day threads.

Toward the end of the PL season it seemed he would be sold, end of. Has he worked his way back in, or was this putting him in the shop window?

He seemed happy at the CWC. His wages are probably too high to be a squad player, but I wouldn’t be against him staying as a LW option, and at times a forward option. But if a decent offer comes in I think we’ll move on.

He annoyed me when he came on against PSG. He was jogging around not putting in much effort, despite his teammates running themselves into the ground in obscene heat.

So is he off to Munich, or going to stay with us this year? If we get 50-60m, is it better for us if he leaves?

We should move him on asap but I think he's a player we are most likely going to price out of a move and be stuck with unfortunately.

Thanks for the memories Christopher, but now it's time for you to clear your desk, pack your bags and f*ck off you useless c*nt.

He promised a lot. That injury ruined him maybe? But he has had very little interest in being a chelsea player for quite some time now.

Matt Law was saying there’s a lot of interest in him and playing in the club World Cup has been good.

Usual bo**ocks from Matt Law wouldn't surprise me in the slightest
