May 30May 30 I wonder if his legal team will be seeking clarification. He will probably issue a public statement.I think Neil Young once said " don't drive over narrow bridges when you are pissed out of your mind"Probably good advice Edited May 30May 30 by OTL
May 30May 30 BBC Sport- according to a source he has been made to feel worthless over the last two years. Know doubt put out by his agent. 300k a week, and the geyser feels worthless! Crying all the way to the bank

Pathetic, simplistic.I feel it's tacky using mental health as an excuse after crashing your car under the influence of anything. One thing I can't forgive is some d**khead piece of sh*t deciding to get in their car under the influence of drink or drugs and decide that nobody else around them mattered and kill some innocent person just going about their day. f**k Sterling. Whatever mental health issues he is suffering, there is zero excuse for doing what he did and I think prison should be the automatic punishment for this kind of thing.

Pathetic, simplistic.Wow. Always enjoyed reading your witty, balanced posts. Am I an expert in mental health? Good question, deserves an answer; there’s a strong theme of mental instability on my mothers side of the family. My Grandad, partly due to an extremely rough WW2, was one of the first people in this country to have a full frontal lobotomy. An ex partner of mine was sectioned. Sometimes think I’m half barmy, however we’ve all got a slender contract with sanity.I’m entitled to my opinion, as are you. Take good care you silly sounding twat
May 31May 31 Driving and crashing a Lambo under the influence of drugs without regard for others trumps any issues he may have. Its fckin stupid and selfish. The media will be trotting out stories of his difficult childhood shortly, his gun tattoo and so on, mental health issues is just part of a reasoned argument in this case to lower his penalty. Perhaps he was treated badly by the arresting officer as well. The list of excuses is endless. Uber didnt answer his call so he had to drive. His on pitch efforts throughout his time at Chelsea and indeed in Holland have been unremarkable, i think he has contributed to his fall and it can only be on him. His time at Liverpool wasnt wasted if he is now coming over as some sort of victim. Edited May 31May 31 by OTL

May 31May 31 Having loads of money doesn't somehow grant an immunity to depression, its such a stupid thing to think. On the drug driving I hope they lock the stupid little sh*t up.

Depression comes in many guises, is real, and isn't selective.Taking drugs and driving, and subsequently losing control and crashing has no underlying rationale that has any merit and trying to establish an underlying motive to curry sympathy for a stupid, self indulgent act at the risk of his own and any one elses life is just wrong, but sadly not unfamiliar in this, frankly, sh*t society that is being created for us all.
May 31May 31 Im just watching sky sports and there are a group of Journalists discussing Raheem Sterling reviewing his career and talking about how badly he was treated at Chelsea, all the while there is video footage in the background of his goals at various stages of his career. Quite amazing really, you could be forgiven for thinking he had passed away, yet the prompt for all this is his collision with the central reservation on the M3 in a Lamborghini whilst suspected of having taken class C drugs and in possession of drugs, driving dangerously and refusing to provide a sample.Great player in time gone by lets sweep all this nonsense about drugs and crashes under the carpet shall we?😐Im sure several people on this forum use the M3 - luckily they werent wiped out and are able to watch the video footage of his goals.Depression - im fckin depressed reading about this twat. Was one of our most effective players. Always had the piss taken out of him due to his unusual running style. He’s only 31 now. Should be tail end of his peak years. Who knows….
June 1Jun 1 more than chelsea he only needs to look at his advisors.. there were multiple options for him to ply his trade elsewhere - he did choose to stay in london.. fluffed his lines at Arsenal. Yes chelsea bought him but wasnt the first player frozen out in the history of the game.I understand and respect that he may be under depression - but blaming chelsea is way off the mark. Being on drugs and drink driving sorry nothing to do with how chelsea treated him.
June 1Jun 1 No matter if he actually blames Chelsea or not he will definitely apportion part of the blame to Chelsea if he goes to trial. It’s probably a bona fide position to take as he’ll need as many mitigating factors as possible.I do feel for him. Depression or any other mental illness can really f**k you up whether you are a pauper or a millionaire. Money is almost irrelevant.
June 1Jun 1 It was laughing gas and that was a dumb thing to be doing, jeez where are his advisors. Thought he was more sensible than that.
June 1Jun 1 Controversially, there's pretty limited evidence that nitrous oxide actually impairs driving. In theory it should, but there isn't much to show it actually does. Still, even if there was a risk, as a father and a professional athlete, it's a f**king stupid thing to do and he should rightly be punished. I've got no issue with athletes using recreational drugs on their own time. I'm also firmly of the belief that Sterling is a burned-out child prodigy who has been grossly mistreated by both City and Chelsea, and his obscene wages do not change that one bit. But I do have an issue when they do reckless things that endanger the lives of other, innocent people simply to manage their own feelings.I cannot believe that this is the man that BlueCo thought would be a 'marquee' signing to lead the dressing room. No wonder we have the red cards and ill discipline amongst the squad we do, there isn't one grown man among the lot of them.
