There's not a lot about at the moment and we are behind the other clubs due to the sale, but rather than just take players because we can I`d much rather we wait for the players we want. Klopp and Liverpool are acclaimed for doing this with Van Dyke etc, build progressively rather than swamp an already overloaded, unbalanced mess of a squad with yet more players who we will be stuck with if Tuchel goes and the next manager has to try and fit them in so they dont get upset, and we cant sell them. Use the returning loan players, bring in 2 or 3 at most, accept next season for what it is, build towards challenging in 2 or 3 seasons. Obviously this will upset a huge part of our fanbase, especially the twatter f**kwits. But frankly, f**k them, it might turn into a lovely cull where we get shot of the dickheads....or at least some of them. Spot on. Our loan returns act as at least 3 good new additions at CB, CM and CF. Why cannot TT use them? Or do we need to sell them for 30mill a piece to buy them back for 60mill a piece to see them as worth while? What would have happened with Mount and James with this approach? Thankfully they came through during the ban and Lamps time here.

As annoying as it would be, selling one of them is pure profit on the balance sheet, whilst any new players' cost would be spread over the term of the contract. A simple accounting trick.

I remember that pool team was a mess under klopp. He played crazy pressing football with a backline who probably not suited for pressing football. He then slowly improving the team. Not sure Tuchel like it though, he said it somewhere that he didn't not want to wait to win, he want to win now.

Not every hyped youth prospect ever reaches the standard and very few will make it in our team. People are scarred by Salah and KDB but the majority of young projects we sell don't do on to achieve much. Imagine if we'd managed to get good fees for Mceachran, Kakuta, Cho, Hutchinson and the hundreds of other highly rated teenagers that didnt make it? I'm not convinced by Broja and while I wouldn't let him go cheap I wouldn't be opposed to selling him for a big offer. Edited July 1, 20224 yr by HazardousChoice

Unfortunately we have a large number of useless players that we cannot offload, but plenty of talented youth that can raise a price. With the new loan limitations we may have to sell some players that we don't want to.

The culmination of changing managers so often and them bringing in their players while being unable to sell others unfortunately.
July 4, 20224 yr 👀 ⏳ Just a matter of time now I thought I would post this from a few weeks back when agent Mason was in action.
July 4, 20224 yr Happy if this goes ahead. Proven attacking player in the Premier League which will hopefully massively improve our attacking output.
July 4, 20224 yr Author Not happy with reports that he will earn more here than his 300k a week at City. That is asking for trouble with a player who relies on pace to be effective and started his top flight career at 17.
July 4, 20224 yr They leave for the states this weekend so hopefully this gets sorted in the next couple days. De Ligt also.

Far as Sterling goes Hopefully he has a change of heart and stays at City or goes to Real. We need a massive rebuild. Midfield and from line needs gutting, defence faith in Chalobah and Colwill while recruiting Silvas successor. Sterling is not part of a rebuild he is a last piece of the jigsaw.

If we must make signings let's sign ones with hunger who won't mortgage us I wages, players like: Mohammed Salisu and Jan Bendarek for CB James Ward-Prowse and Moussa Djenepo for midfield Tino Livramento and Kyle Walker-Peters for full back What you think @Valerie ? Ambitious enough? 😉 Edited July 4, 20224 yr by axman2526

Right @dkw ? And do we not often also hear how Kai Havertz is a generational talent? Our own @Argo has shown lots of stats that show CHO as one of the best chance makers in the league, we hear how Mendy is one of the best keepers in the world, Chilwell and James most of us, me included, feel are two of the best wingbacks in the world. Mount has shown himself a top creator and scorer. Not to mention the continued excellence of Silva. And you feel 8 to 10th? Nah sign Sterling or don't, with all that there we should make 4th easily.

Out of interest, who would you prefer over Sterling? Because he is better than all our wingers.

I agree he is, but such a signing is only justifiable to me if he is the missing piece between us winning the league or not, and we are nowhere near good enough to over come City and Pool with or without him. With or without him I am confident of top 4 with Spurs and the other 2. With or without him we have no chance of the league title. So he seems an absolute waste of hollloywood wages that will cause further problems when dealing with James, Mount et al. Our midfield is far greater concern to me that our useless wingers and out budget should focus on building a core this summer, no an extravagant signing like Sterling. I jest about all the saints players above, for obvious reasons. However I do like James Ward-Prowse and if we are switching to a back 4 it would give us the option for a creative midfielder in a 3. However as you did ask specifically about wide forwards or wingers I would advocate Jarrod Bowen, or maybe Pedro Neto. Edited July 4, 20224 yr by axman2526

Fair enough about the wages but tbh, his goal return each season warrants a high salary. Also one of our problems last season was finishing teams off so for that reason I would say getting in a clinical winger is a necessity. Thing is it is funny because people would advocate Mane ahead of signing yet in less appearances Sterling has outscored and made more assists than him over their respective careers at each club but I guarantee if we went after Mane, you probably would me more content with giving him £300k p/w right. JWP is a good player but he doesn’t improve us. I wouldn’t necessarily say he creative also. Decent all round player and a free kick specialist but he doesn’t make any better. Bowen had a brilliant season but I would be against signing him until I seen another season as playing for Chelsea is different to West Ham. Neto? Come on. Good potential but no way near the finished article and to say you would rather him than Sterling mindblows me honestly. He doesn’t score enough, had a serious injury and since returning he did not nail a consistent starting spot at Wolves.

With no recognised CB's to partner Silva, then yeah i can easily see us having a cr@p season. I think that we were flattered last season with how poor the league was, but i think it will be much tougher this year
