August 26, 20223 yr So ignoring the money we have signed four first team starters and a two bright prospects one with pl experience. Sure is a terrible window.

Hard to evaluate a window if you're ignoring at least half of the equations. The players we've signed are great. But people will rightly point to the fees we've paid and question if we got value for money. I'm not so sure particularly with the fees for Fofana and the two young players.

He’s fantastic, but as with most players Rodgers just can’t get a tune out of them now. I thank you for the £80m so we can pay the c*** off.
August 26, 20223 yr It’s a lot of money. but we need strengthening as we are light in defense. now let’s get a striker plz

He’s fine after it, it’s the little niggling injuries you can get after a bad injury I’d worry about. He came into the season having to be managed though them.

Shesh is it worth paying Rodgers 80mill to leave. Seems a bit steep lol. 2 minutes ago, foxedup said: He played the end of last season and was in fine form straight off the bat. August 26, 20223 yr Saw this comment from a Leicester fan regarding Fofana which is a good point: "I’d say being already good enough to start for a side who finished 5th in PL and win the FA Cup at 19 and to be one of their better players that season absolutely does make him a unique talent though. Centre backs generally develop a few years later than other outfield players and it’s the outfield position that generally requires the most experience, it’s rare eeven for most of the best centre backs in the world to be good top flight players until they’re 23 or so usually. He’s 21, he could easily have another 15 years left at top flight level, in which case Chelsea are laughing and he cost them about £6mil a year, which is nothing." Also have to remember that Liverpool signed Van Dijk for a similar fee when he was 26 and Fofana is 5 years younger than what Liverpool bought Van Dijk for then and you would say that is good business with how he has turned out so if he turns out anywhere near the same, then good business.

August 26, 20223 yr Happy with this one, a very good player already IMO. I think he’ll be good value in the end.

The only thing stopping him is whether he just loses focus and it’s all happened too soon. Seeing as he’s shown numerous times to be a petulant spoilt brat at his last two clubs, I’d say there is potential there for that. But keep the focus and drive to improve and he’ll be a star. Leicester fans are annoyed at getting a record fee (addons granted)…. That should tell you how highly he’s rated.
