lol .. A decent coach can help him.. he has the attributes but needs to cut out the mistakes and I’ll discipline or he will be out very quickly.. reminds me of Rudiger - I think in a back 3 he can cook.

I think that there appears to be underlying attitude issues with some of his reported antics and what would appear to be a disregard for authority. Fine line between passion and disrespect and if Xabi is looking to create mentality monsters then those not on the same page will probably be identified and dealt with. I expect Fofana to be moved on, regardless of the footballing attributes. I would expect the full PR dog and pony show but deep down i reckon it will be due to attitude. Can see Garnacho going the same way tbh.

Fofana has problematic injury history, if we could move him, he would have.

Fofana had a problematic injury history. The reason we couldn't move him was because he has never shown any where near the standard of football ability his price tag warranted. There are plenty of players being traded with poor injury records. We sold Broja who has never looked capable of maintaining any form of fitness.

With Fofana's amortisation balance now reaching a point of equilibrium I think trading him becomes a much more realistic possibility. The bigger issue is that we have lived under this fallacy that there is a transfer market out there whereas in reality there are maybe 4 European clubs that would part with cash and the rest come from our league

That should be the last we see of him. Never again in a chelsea shirt.

I reckon the club wants to sell him but they will struggle to find a buyer with those wages. His team is adamant he isn’t leaving, and why should he? £200k/w with 3yrs left. Those daft 7yr contracts will be difficult to shift.

when the going gets tough he gets injured

when the going gets tough he gets sent off

when the going gets tough he commits motoring offences

great bloke all round regular guy we are so lucky to have him, probably a club legend in the making.

whilst we have wesley in our team we will never be left wanting. An intelligent and principled man thank you for everything.

Got to be approaching worst signing in history territory.

At least the majority of the other disasters were shipped off after a season or had a few moments like Torres.

We won’t sell him - wages too high. Maybe he can get a loan to Italy or somewhere and we get partial wages covered. I’d still take that as he needs to be away from this squad and starting XI.

He really looks lost - poor positioning and marking always - doesn’t know how to use his body to defend when a striker pushes back.. he has gone down a couple of notches .. always so eager to tackle .. I had seen him play at Leicester wasn’t such a disaster.

Unless Saudi come knocking he’s going to get the Sterling treatment.

Fine by me. I just want him gone.

If de Zerbi was still at Marseille I'd have fancied him going there for at least a season. Don't even know who's there now tbh.

Who on earth would persist with a player with questionable ability, a poor injury record, a bad attitude, lazy and with a lack of discipline both on and off the field ? - only us.

I dunno. My cleaner is as sh*t as she was when she started 3 years ago.
