That Isak assist to make it 4-1 was absolute world class stuff, unbelievable, such an astute signing.

Newcastles owners have been very astute in how they have handled the club since the takeover. They are good, steady progress.

They had no choice. FFP would have squirreled the Saudi revolution before it even began and with the Qataris now firmly in bed with UEFA, they cannot make a misstep.

Modric injured.. 🤦‍♂️

City treble looking even more inevitable now, would be astounded if United were able to conjure anything up in the FA Cup.

Everyone talks about Newcastle at the moment being this and that, but what people are forgetting is that team is bang average. They are going through a fantastic purple patch this season, but those players aren't that good. They were facing relegation last season. Almiron had scored 5 goals in the last 64 apps for Newcastle. The rest of the team are not that good of players. They may get CL football, but I'd be very surprised if there were multitude of top players wanting to join them.

Which top player looks at Newcastle and thinks "Oh I'd love to play alongside Dan Burns, Trippier, Joelinton, Almiron, Callum Wilson, or the legendary Sean Longstaff? Not a single genuine world class or fringe world class player among that team. All I'm saying is the media etc are getting way ahead of themselves with Newcastle. I don't even look at Newcastle and want any of their players at Chelsea, not a single one. Okay, maybe Guimaraes, but apart from him I think their team is bang average.

Under Howe certain of thier players have had purple patches like Almiron and Joelinton and looked world class for periods.

In Trippier, Burns and Wilson they have decent EPL players.

Guess they like Howe's system.

Forest winning.......we're getting closer and closer to getting dragged into a relegation fight.

Thankfully, there just aren't enough matches left. Another 3 or 4 rounds left and I genuinely think we'd be down with Everton and Southampton. And Southampton would take 6 points off us in the Championship, too 🤣.

No we're not, it would still take an unprecented pattern of results.

Anyone who is genuinely worrying about relegation read this thread.

Ironically if you were that worried about it you should have wanted Potter to stay until atleast the season end as our defensive record under him alone would have probably got us well in the 40s by now.

I'm not saying we will go down, but we can't ignore the fact that if Leeds and Leicester win their next two games and we fail to pick up a single point in our games, it will put them 3 and 4 points behind us going into the last three games. However unlikely that is it can still happen and would put us in a relegation scrap.

How's he playing so far? Not watching the game

No idea, me neither, just saw that he'd started and Brighton were winning so I thought I'd pick the low-hanging fruit.

The time spent outside the game did wonders for Howe, he changed his approach and developed, during his 15 months out he was reaching out to other coaches to watch training sessions from clubs around Europe. Some proper soul searching and it shows in his changed methodology, it was the kind of ‘time out’ Lampard needed, god knows what he was doing during his spell out.

Hopefully changing nappies and being a dad.
