Kalidou Koulibaly

Per multiple reports the club want to sell but Koulibaly reluctant to leave.

I mean something needs to happen as we can't go into next season with 6 centre backs.

Silva

Fofana

Chalobah

Badiashile

Colwill

Koulibaly

We need to lose of our CBs. Without European football it will be tricky to keep 5 CBs happy in a back 4.

Was he, when was this? He wasnt crap in any season he had with Chelsea.

During AVBs tenure he was indeed often putting in "questionable" performances if I remember correctly.

he'd shine back in the Serie A i'm sure, sadly we've stuck him on £290k a week so why would he want to leave?

£290k/wk ! I cannot believe that but if it's true Mount's stance on pay makes more sense

Todd was playing the long game. Signed Koulibaly knowing that Saudi was going to be expanding their league and want all the 30+ Mulsim players and we're about to make 400% on his transfer and completely clear out FFP burden while allowing us to spend another £600m this year. Always trusted him.

I will say I am feeling a bit calmer now that Koulibaly looks to be the CB shifted and not Chalobah.

Don't count those chickens till you is official mate..

Will the Saudis pay a transfer fee or just take him for free off us? Don't get me wrong, savings on his wages would be huge, and play right into Boehly's plans. But how is writing off 30M transfer fee impact our FFP? The only way we could offload so many players this summer is to write off or get a small portion of the transfer fees we paid, hardly looked like a genius plan to break even.

They can pay Benzema 200mill a year, if they want Koulibaly then they can afford a 30mill transfer fee. Is like toilet paper to them.

How much of a priority? Enough to swap him plus 15mill for Onana?

Italians are cheapskates & will probably want him on a 2yr loan with a low option to buy. The Saudi’s will pay us a transfer fee & pay him very well. Unless it’s a straight swap for Onana, we shouldn’t be speaking to the Italians.

While it's annoying I don't actually blame them (outside of the way Inter and Lukaku behaved last summer).

They simply don't have the money the English clubs do due to the TV deals.

Lol amen to that mate. By priority signing they a priority to rip us off.

Early links to this said Inter want a loan for Lukau for less than the 8mill euros they paid for the last loan, us paying the majority of his wages, a loan for Koulibaly with a small loan fee and us paying most of his wages, and still 60mill for Onana!

True enough, Saudis have money though. Tell Rom the choice is a big fat payday there or being paid to stay at home.

Hopefully those reports that Pochettino/the club will tell unwanted players to find new clubs or stay away from training are true.

KK and Kante won’t be the only players heading to Saudi I reckon.

Big money being offered. Lukaku, Mendy could end up there too. It will be interesting when the Saudi’s start paying transfer fees. They could turn their sofa upside down and find £30 million for KK.

This window is going to be mental.

Although the WAGs might find it a bit of a culture shock by some accounts

Not sure if anyone's going to be watching the Real Housewives of Riyadh!

Why don’t we just sell the Saudis a complete team? With our unwanted and want aways a first 11 plus as many subs they are allowed. A complete package, plus we could recommend a couple of managers.

He is their priority target apparently, however that means they want a loan deal and for us to pay a large share of his wages.

Inter are either really poor of or really cheeky, or both.

Koulibaly has been a professional, unlike Lukaku. So whereas I would treat the latter with disdain of he refuses to go to Saudi we should just be honest with Koulibaly and say he is 3rd choice behind Colwill and Badiashile. If he is OK with that then ok we signed him, is on us. If not find a club that will buy you.

Both. They're on financially very shaky ground despite the CL run and qualifying for next season's CL. They borrowed a quarter of billion from an American hedge fund a year or so ago. The debt is due next year. Either they borrow similarly again to repay the debt or the hedge fund owns the club.

Italian club with Chinese owners. Double whammy.

American owners if they don't repay the quarter of a billion dollar loan next year.
